Rees + 8m?

Gives enough cash to buy a very good foreign in. Rees was 6th on the top tens.

See that the cash is needed desperately in the back row with the injuries and think Collins and Lund need improvement.

Louw and Ouedraego would be good signings and available for 23m ish.

One thing that you have missed out on is the top 10s we have done, whereby everyone lists the best players in the world in each position. Gives you a good idea of who is rated.

BDP was 1 or 2 in the world, Rees was 6. BDP cost £25m and Rees was £22m. I offered 8m, even though the difference was only £3m, as I want more Saffas in my Saffacens pack!

Anything in the top ten is great, top 20 is fine and outside of that is deemed a weakness.

Evans and Gear not for sale at all mate, both were top 3 and unfortunately you don't have good enough replacements.

Not a bad start that mate, but wouldn't the gap between Lambie and Evans is much much bigger than Rees to BDP.

What most people try to do on here is sacrifice a gain in one area for improvement elsewhere. You have the benefit of cash as well.

I would stretch to

Rees + 10m = BDP

I would help you out with a back rower, but can't until after the next game (wednesday) when Joubert recovers. At that point I could use McCalman as bait to get BDP perhaps?

I actually bought Lambie first mate, when Evans was injured and then sold him to get Schalk Burger in! He got luke warm reactions, which surprised me, cos I personally do rate him.

General consensus was - ok player, very dependable %s player. He wasn't near the top tens, maybe sneak into top 20. Wouldn't see him as a weakness in your team though, especially with Giteau outside him and Kelleher inside.

With squad size, i would be looking around this as a minimum, which most seem to follow. Now, this is assuming all are injury free!

He is rated, but not a superstar. As a rule of thumb, 'potential' isn't rated as highly as real life and players that aren't internationals are cheaper. Also, be weary of players how are hugely off form.

Byrne, Phillips, Chabal, Bast (sorry) are all good examples of this. Even Rockocoko and Habana only just got signed very recently, with players like Halfpenny, Iaone, Maitland all going first.

In this game, the best of the best players are involved, so when you consider the other fly halves are

It gives you some perspective on Lambie. But, as I said, he isn't a weakness, far from it, your 9 10 12 is a real strength.

Get in some back rowers though, Kankowski not universally popular, neither is Spies FYI.

The lowest Whitelock got was 13 with most being top 10 while Williams only feature in 2 of the 6 people who did it.

I personally don't think he will be near NZ team. Whitelock, Donnelly, Thorn are certainties if not injures as far as I am concerned. Jack/Boric/Williams/Ross playing for that last position

All those young players you mentioned are very good players and worth keeping. Evans wood lambie corbsiero I would all have in my squad.

If you release those players, make sure you have 22 fit players for the game on Tuesday evening.

Depends who you are playing. If away from home, it won't matter, if home to a bottom 4 team, it might make the difference.

Feel free to make offers mate, as many as you wish. Dont get disheartened if they get rejected, it's rarely an instant fix. Normally managers return with counter offers to get negotiations going anyway

In your team, my main target is bdp is you know and in general im looking to build my pack and depth in backs.

Well i have been here 8weeks now but first season, some of these guys done 4 in a row. I have asked loads of questions and got advice, happy to pass it on. Couple of managers have been rudey poo and messed it up for the rest, so I'm glad your on board and keen. Also, be good to get Toulon off the bottom.

Good deal to start with, I would be keen on that. Just that steen and Toeava are two of my favourite players. Let me sleep on it, I like kelleher a lot but he isn't getting any younger and toulouse have released him.

Alright mate, had a good think and im nearly there, just want a little tweak. You can keep Kelleher (4th ish in world top 10 rankings) and ill keep cowan (10th ish), I want to improve at hook. I have chucked in an extra £5m as well.

With regards to my team, I started with the weakest squad in the league, but a big budget. Got Evans and Fourie in early doors, but because of the lack in quality in other areas, i struggled for results. Over the last month, i have added real quality with Burger, Nonu, Steenkamp, McCalman, Cowan coming in. Now i'm doing well in the predictions and have got 2 wins and a draw in my last 3 games.

I'd keep BdP and Domingo for a while mate, it gives you an amazing cornerstone in your team IMO.

Its just not quite enough for me to lose Toeava. Don't rate kirchner and it breaks up my nz back three and there isn't much quality left at fb in foreigns.

I'm looking to improve my pack so thats why I dropped my gain with Cowan in favour of a gain with bdp

Vito plays for ospreys, got snapped up for 22m about three weeks ago

It's a very fair deal, can't throw in cash as well as need it all to replace Kankowski, who people have called a deadweight. McCalman is top ten and a great player, sad to see him go.

Tends to be quiet at weekend mate but also will take time to pick up again after the switch over.

I haven't bothered looking back as I'm a little busy today but as far as I'm aware

Moore 3rd best behind Servat and BdP. Some rated Mealamu and Palota-Nau slightly higher but probably 3rd/4th on average.

Rees 7th/8th behind the top hookers pack.

Steenkamp consistantly top 5 loose head but not in the higher pack amongst Woodcock, Beat, Domingo.

Ayerza towards the latter end of the top 10, perhaps slightly outside but still rated.

Giteau and Mermoz pretty equal, lurking around the 5th-8th best 12 lists.

Someone quality like Lawes will attract attention, especially to managers who have two good locks already and/or have cash to heal the injuries in the ERL shop.
