Seems extremely unfair if the referee stops play to check if a try was scored that the game does not restart if time is up. The break of play did not come because Tonga turned the ball over or made a mistake or lost possession in any way. It came because the referee intervened. He could have chosen to let Tonga play on and checked back later..

This needs to be looked up by the lawmakers as well as a general review of protocol surrounding the use of the TMO.

I've wondered about this before. There's no reason why Lacey couldn't have waited another phase or two and then called it back. It's not like there was an injury or an unplayable ball.

The ref should have given pen try for pulling down the maul and why Lacy stated use it was a cop out. Up to the last 5 mins the ref was having a good game. Shame for the game and fairness.
