A woman in the US state of Indiana is recovering after being shot by her dog in a bizarre hunting accident, an environment official says.
The woman, named as Allie Carter, 25, was hunting waterfowl on Saturday in the north of the state, Jonathon Boyd, an Indiana conservation officer said.
She put down her 12-gauge shotgun but her chocolate Labrador stepped on it, shooting her in the foot.
To add insult to injury, the dog was named Trigger.
Mr Boyd said she suffered injuries to her left foot and toes and has since been released from hospital.
He said Ms Carter had not completed a hunter education course and urged all prospective hunters to do so.

I am torn on fox hunting. I think they should reintroduce hunts but in town / city centres. It'd be brilliant entertainment and there are too many urban foxes these days. They walk around bold as brass even during the day.

I reckon Bond is a ridiculous film series, and the early ones worked because the directors seemed to acknowledge the lunacy. Daniel Craig Bond's take themselves too seriously, which makes the already ludicrous plots even more, ludicrous

Goldeneye is the best Bond. Think Brosnan was the best in the role as well.

My saffa mate has taken on a job with a bookies. He is a qualified accountant and earned sh!t loads in the city here before returning to SA. Apparently he is spending most of his time interrogating employees on the fiddle. Sounds hilarious.

Not sure yet. Took a mental holiday for the last few weeks, first at my girlfriend's family farm, then my own. My dad then had a hypoglycaemia episode which took all my attention for the last few days. I've got a degree in Business management, but all jobs there seem to mean a rather hefty pay cut, because of a lack of experience. Might go back to school, upgrade to a financial management degree.

I've already worked for two of the three major local news services, so I'm probably not going back in media. At least not South African media

Cheers mate. He's fine now. Had a check up and everything. Was quite scary at the time. He blacked out and went manic. Then he locked himself in the bathroom. Thankfully he opened it, but then he was still quite hyped up, and saying things which didn't make sense. Luckily he was lucid enough to take in some sugar, and fifteen minutes later he was reasonably okay.
