Brook v Spence Jr
First topic message reminder :
Eddie Hearn has confirmed that Kell Brook will defend his IBF title against Errol Spence Jr. How's this one gonna go down and what does a win do for Brook? Bramall Lane is being touted as a likely venue and as a Blade I'm hoping to get to this one!

Re: Brook v Spence Jr
Think what people need to remember is that the first priority of any fighter is to earn enough money to live on for the rest of your life or if you're a lesser fighter to leave the sport financially on your feet.........40 or so years is a longtime......
Brook v GGG for 5 million is a no brainer unless you're a wally like Eubank who I think will regret the decision to back out......
Brook 30 odd ??.............Take six months out and have a good rest.....If you want to come back at a higher weight remember for 5 rounds you were out boxing Spence.......if you want to retire you have had earned a lot of money......and the Porter win was an excellent win.

Think brook should potentially retire
Having two broken eye sockets is bad
We don't want him losing his eyesight it's clear guys will target that injury

Brook won't retire - he'll be back at 154. I'm sure he can pick up an alphabet belt there to set up a Khan fight.

Who's Brook going to dethrone at 154? Lara runs rings around Brook. Andrade, Charlo and Cotto would KO him.hazharrison wrote:Brook won't retire - he'll be back at 154. I'm sure he can pick up an alphabet belt there to set up a Khan fight.

I'd give him every chance against Charlo, Hurd and Cotto. Cotto is the fight Eddie should have pushed for ahead of Golovkin.
I'd steer Brook away from Lara and Andrade, however, he has a chance against those two, also.
The Khan fight sells out a stadium. I was there Saturday and the crowd went nuts when Khan appeared. It would sell.

Fight Khan then retire. Least that's what I would do. If he wins easy, he could make a run at 154.

No chance can Brook beat Andrade, Charlo or Lara.
Best bet is Cotto - think he stops him.

The only thing stopping him having a chance is his eyes; Lara is a few years past his best whilst Andrade and the Charlo brothers are fairly unproven.

Brook beats none of the champions. Not in a month of Sundays. Grappling a win against a midget like Porter means nothing against larger opponents like Lara, Charlo or Andrade. Cotto is the smallest but he batters Brook. Easy money.

Cant see Cotto battering Brook AT ALL. Brook is a very technical Boxer, hits with ok-ish power (seemed to have GGG having a few thoughts at 160). Cotto is MILES past his best aswell, doesnt have the best movement, has a lot of miles on the clock.
Are you just simply not a fan of Brook or something? I agree with what your saying to an extent, dont get me wrong, but some of the things you state on here are pretty garbage when it comes to Brook, ill be honest.
