Only reason I can think of is he's an overseas pick.

Bristol have a few centres lined up for next season already don't they? Siale Piatau, Will Hurrell, Tusi Pisi and Alapeti Lieua are all staying.
Nephi Leatigaga is rumoured to be heading to Welford Road. Big and mobile Samoan prop that can play both sides and is currently at Biarritz. Looks an ideal replacement for Logo so hope that one comes off.

Rumours I heard yesterday were a slightly revised structure (similar to Glaws and Leinster where the DoR is responsible for recruitment and development at the club, and the Head Coach responsible for the first team). Names in the frame were Ben Ryan as head coach (has he done much 15s?) and Nick Kennedy as DoR. I assume that Ryan would then want his own coaches - and would especially need a good Forwards coach. Rowntree is a very good scrum coach, not so sure he is good enough at the other aspects though.
Of course today we will probably see new names mentioned.

Hope those rumours don't turn out to be true LT. We would be switching 1 inexperienced set of coaches for another...

Probably already mentioned somewhere, Wasps releasing/not extending the contracts of: PDJ, Macken, Symons and Eastmond ahead of next season.

They were going to keep PDJ but apparently Vickery is going to keep going for one more season

It will be a dark day for rugby when Vickery hangs up his boots.

Some time ago there was a quite serious rumour that we were striking up a deal with the SRU where we would get some of their players but the SRU would pay their wages.
Its surfaced again, now that we're in silly season...I wonder if theres any substance in it at all ?

Eastmond I'd wager might be looking at a move back to league. That's a complete guess based on nothing I've heard but given he's out of the England fold I wouldn't be surprised if he tried
Macken has been rumoured to Brizz. He's a solid centre who would add depth to most sides.
Is Symons to Quins still on the cards? He's such a talented player that just has hit his stride yet in the Prem. It's hard to believe his much anticipated switch from the Chiefs to LI was three seasons ago now.
As for PDJ, apparently he's due to become one Ealing's less eye catching bits of recruitment for next season...

Cokanasiga would be the biggest one to watch from that list though surely?
He started to show some real promise in the last few rounds of the AP. Would love to see him go up North to Falcons and just learn everything he could of Niki, who is no spring chicken.

Didn't mention Cokanasiga and Williams as their destinations have been pretty well signposted.
Aseli Tikoirotuma and Josh Basham added to the list. The latter is very annoying.

Indeed - must have been recent as no way we would have been giving him so much gametime otherwise.

Yep. Nice for the lad to get some AP gametime, but really didn't serve a purpose if we knew he was leaving even with the injuries in the back row. Curtis-Harris was fit again towards the end of the season iirc.

Exactly. Curtis-Harris is potentially closer to what we need anyway, so actually not too bothered by Basham going, but just seems a bit odd.

I think he's been a bit perma-broke for a while. Great shame. It was difficult to see him as a long term England centre but he has some lovely skills.

Glad to get rid of Tiks, his defence is shambolic. off to france apparently.
Basham is an odd one, not sure if we offered him a deal or not.
Surprised we have managed to keep Gordon Reid, I imagine he could do a job for a fair few prem clubs.

Cordero has signed a contract extension with the Chiefs.
So, do we expect Cips to sign on with Wasps again?

The WRU going to help with his mega wage? I presume that's the biggest problem for Glaws. He's out of favour and Cips suits their game plan better.

Re: Silly Season Transfer Rumours 17/18
There's a very clear game plan; start very slowly, let the other side take a huge lead, then play sublime rugby until we regain the lead, then throw it away in the last 10 by running the ball back from our dead ball line...
On a transfer front, the Glaws fans forum were beside themselves this week, as Cips was spotted at a Cheltenham hotel. He is apparently keen to come to the county as we've officially been cleared of our Savage Thrush epidemic. A less aggressive form of simply Thrush has been spotted in Australia and not in Northampton as once feared. However, Western Force Thrush still sounds pretty nasty.

Was hoping he'd head to WR. We could really use a sizeable winger with pace. Bath securing another off the LI production line but it's big shoes to fill with Banahan going.

Apparently he's on 700k over 3 years.....the same figure Banners is getting at Gloucester. I must admit, I don't rate Banahan at all, but it's a large sum to shell out for a player with a few AP tries to his name.

I'm not a Banahan fan but you can't argue with his try scoring record. He's a very good AP level player. Just a flop internationally.
