Re: Music Section Morning Tea Society
There would be no contractual right to compensation, but the best way of getting something from an organisation like Amazon is to try to get contact details for the UK executive complaints team (or equivalent) or just send a complaint addressed to the UK chief exec.
I used to work as an inhouse lawyer in Finanial Services and worked closely with the exec compalints team to resolve complaints that had been sent to the Chief Executive. Everything had to be dealt with quickly and we generally just handed out decent compensation without worrying too much about the merit of the complaint so that the person complaining woudln't go to the press. Justice in action!

They will probably chuck some free Amazon Prime at you.
There were loads of stories about people receiving random stuff rather than the ordered PS5, ranging from air fryers, to cat litter.

Might send off a letter to the Chief Executive then.
I ordered 6 bags of cat litter for my miniature lynx and was sent this stupid piece of electronic equipment instead.

You'd think it would be possible to incorporate the serial number into the operating system, allocate it when purchased online and disable any reported as stolen.

I remember when this place was about getting noshed off by tramps and silhouetting your old chap against the side of castles.
Solid post though, Galted. Write to Bezos and explain it. With a bit of luck you'll get one of his naughty pictures in return.

Apologies, Tino, I don't know what I was thinking. No wonder you prefer being dead much of the time.
If it makes you feel better, my 3yo went through a week where he rubbed his knob against everything he could, chair corners, doorframes, bed-sides, was the hoping the little pervert would try it on the cat to cure him of his revolting ways but, touch wood*, he seems to have stopped.
* no pun intended.

It was a bit too South of My Days for me.
Going on the field trip next week. Just saw it will be 43°C in Narrabri next Wednesday, high 30s for the next two days thereafter. Was kind of hoping for some cooler weather... maybe even a bit of rain. Anyway... maybe the forecast is wrong this far out.

I'm starting to suspect that as well. Regular fisting is a sign of hardness, not eating hessian and wearing lard.

Great, now we are going to be inundated with endless musicians waxing lyrical over her genius. Loads of f*cking Twitter videos with her songs as a backdrop as some c*nt from Little Mix cries earnestly into the lens. We'll end up with Holiday and La Isla Bonita repeatedly on the wireless. Like a Prayer is a good song but other than that, she can f*ck off.
Morning all.
Morning all.
