Ireland vs England
First topic message reminder :
Thought I'd set up a neutral venue.
Some team news is that Ryan and Ringrose have been ruled out for the home team.
No sign as yet of Underhill so Wilson on for another start unless Jones gets brave and picks Martin from the off. May actually be tempted as POM is back available.

On 6 nations history whoever had led a game between these 2 at half time has always won the game.

Meh it's clear England haven't been bothered about this 6n..and aren't worried about some losses.
God farrell is even laughing out there...he's not bothered about this game.

At least England won't be able to paper over the cracks. There's huge problems for Jones to sort.

But take nothing away from Ireland...some decent play and they are looking much improved. Unlucky against Wales and overall heading in the right direction.

Re: Ireland vs England
I still think the issue is England trying to play too fast. The players on the pitch are too keyed up. I wonder if any of them are actually enjoying playing.

Re: Ireland vs England
Good enough game. Ireland making good progress from the ANC but there is plenty in the England 23 to still bring this back to a tight finish

Re: Ireland vs England
Would like Robson on at the start of the second half and let's just move daly away from full back. Wing or off for marchant. Really should have put more points on the board in that 1st 15 so just need to get back to that. Scrum is being mangled by the ref though, Ireland yet to want to contest it.

Yeah right.
They looking at tactics etc...keeping players fit.. and their focus has not been winning the championship.
Same as the cycle four years ago.

Also think the game last week for England was so good and mentally draining it's hard to get back up for it this week

Jones and Farrell want to win everything. If they're playing cards they'd be gutted to lose a hand.

I'd like to see the early rolling maul again - looked clearly brought down by Ireland before it hit the line ...

Oh I agree they don't like losing...but I think they've picked this tournament to concede a few defeats .
Of course I may be proved wrong...just an opinion

The best half of rugby I've seen from Ireland since 2018. Willing to admit a few little things have gone our way though, don't think the game is over just yet

Yeah that's not acceptable at international level. If you want to win Grand Slams and World Cups then you need to back up big performances.
Glad to see some changes in the front row. They weren't good enough first half.

Re: Ireland vs England
That was weird. Ford's first impulse was to kick, though getting it off was not the percentage play with a guy bearing down on him. Pass and get settled.

Back to really poor kicking options. Don't mind the kick but play what's in front.

And yet as mentioned not even a second look at the collapsed maul on their try line at the start of the match ... could have been a PT and YC if checked ...

England getting bested in every area. Once again, no leadership on the field and no ability to adapt to the man with the whistle.
