Sky 401.
Suddenly feels odd having no fans in the stadium again.

Not sure why that's a pen. Itoje comes through the middle. Sky have actually got Nigel Owens in there and not a word of explanation.

Referee called it, I think if it is still a maul then it isn’t interpreted as a tackle

You got the ref on the SA commentary. Sky have chosen to turn it down.

Good defensive effort from the Lions there, although the Sogma Lions were a bit one dimensional in attack

Re: Emirates Lions v British & Irish Lions, 3 July
British Lions dominating the aerial game, much more clinical in the finish and harrassing the breakdown, other than that the Sigma Lions are giving them a good match up in the set piece and physical battles

HT - a decent first half performance from our Lions on both sides of the ball
A few players putting down a marker, Harris and price have played well and Hoggy showed some real flashes of pace. I do accept i am being a little bit one eyed here!

Sigma Lions have stuck at it and are making it a game, they will be feeling it though, hopefully they can keep it going for the second half

What I liked from Hogg was showing some real power after running into contact. He is playing well.BigGee wrote:HT - a decent first half performance from our Lions on both sides of the ball

The B&I are playing a little schoolyard Rugby at the lineout. I kind of like it, but doubt we will see it in against the Boks. Glad to see the SA Lions playing hard and making a battle of it. Everyone keeps their pride (Lions. Pride. Get the pun? OK, a bad dad joke....).
By the way, back home who are the Rugby commentators on tv? We have the SA commentators here, and I do like Stransky.

Feels a bit like the B&I Lions began to take the match for granted, and haven't found any rhythm since.
