*We are live on air for Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade's edition of Proving Grounds. The brothers have opted for a very minimalist approach as all sponsors and 6CWF logos have been removed. We are looking at black ropes and blank aprons and canvasses. RJ & JT are on comms and they immediately informs us that Logan & BD have decreed a night of "Xtreme" with every single match contested with "No DQ". It seems tonight's hosts are not going to be taking centre stage like Genesis did last week and just want to see as much action and devastation as possible. We get major hype on tonight's show as well as looking ahead to Night of Glory.

*We see Genesis arriving at the arena in a brand new tour bus. The Genesis Express which has been bought and laid on by Eddy Kent. Kent has his arm around Rex's shoulder as they exit the bus and the cameras catch up on their conversation. Kent is assuring Rex that it is only natural to feel a little sorry for Max but this is the only way to ensure their future. Max out of the picture will allow Rex to realise his destiny and become 6CW Champion. Kent wants Rex to know that every decision he makes is for the good of Genesis. He then says he wants Sweetwater to accompany Rex for his match with Uryu but Rex wants to do it alone. He appreciates Kent looking out for him but he owes Uryu. Kent nods in understanding as Rex heads inside the building. Kent turns to Roth & Sweetwater and says "Be on hand" as the scene ends.

*Uryu is gazing out at the Liverpool sky ahead of tonight's opening match. Uryu is pacing on the roof and talking to himself. He admits he is experiencing a few doubts recently after losing the world title but the "Fight for the Right" tournament is a ticket back to the bigtime and a spot at Night of Glory, which he is yet to nail down. Ishida is adamant that he will not return to the obscurity of "curtain jerking" and that one way or another he will remind the world what he is all about.

*We see Enforcer arriving at the arena. The commentary team remind us of some issues that have arose between Enforcer & Robin Reborn as Big E prepares for battle tonight with Ojore & Anthony Grace. Grace is on hand and he and Enforcer go head to head. Grace says they have buried the past but tonight is business and everyone is chasing Ws as they attempt to put themselves in pole position for a prime slot at Night of Glory. Grace says he knows Ojore & Reborn and what they are capable of so he is happy to give Enforcer some pointers but this is where E cuts him off....Enforcer needs Grace to remember a couple of things....one; "nothing is buried" and two "save your pointers for yourself, they may help you survive the night". The two men lock eyes and then Enforcer walks away as Grace has a coy expression on his face.

Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29) Empty Re: Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29)

Bout 1
Fight for the Right (Quarter Final)
Rex Adamson vs Uryu Ishida

*We are set for the opening contest of the evening as we get a shot of the tournament brackets and a reminder that, under BD & Logan's orders, every single match on the card will be "No DQ". JT then gives the background on Rex Adamson & Uryu Ishida. Rex has defeated Chris Patricks thus far and Uryu got a bye against GazzyD. Rex Adamson is 8-0 with 1 draw against former world champions and that draw came against Uryu so the young Genesis protege will be out to rectify that blemish here this evening.

*Uryu is given a strong reception from the audience as we are reminded that he is still banged up after his war with GazzyD at Day of Reckoning and that has affected his performances in recent weeks. RJ tells us that it will have been a relief that he didn't have to compete last week and we may see a fresher Ishida this evening. JT says "Every superstar has eyes on a big spot at Night of Glory so this will be Uryu's biggest priority".

*Rex then arrives to a mixed reception (he does have his supporters amongst the audience) and he throws his arms up. He looks behind him and then shakes his head as it appears he isn't getting a pyro here tonight. He swaggers down to the ring, admiring the very minimalstic design for tonight's show, and then leaps up on the apron. He glares at Uryu before leaping over the top rope. The referee gets in between both men as Rex points at Uryu and trash talks him. They are sent to their respective corners as the bell sounds to get the contest underway.

*They circle and Rex immediately shoots for the legs. Uryu tries to keep upright but Rex takes one leg and spins it around before popping Ishida up and slams a forearm into his face. He whips Uryu off the ropes and pops him up again and leaves him to splatter on his chest. Rex then runs the ropes and returns by rolling over Uryu into a gutwrench as he picks him up off the canvass and then drops him backward on his face. The commentators are marvelling on Rex's strength as he pins for a two count.

*Rex pummels Uryu back to the corner and stomps on his midsection before lifting him up high. He clambers up to join him but takes several forearms and punches. Uryu slams Rex's head down into the turnbuckle and wants a sunset flip powerbomb but Rex catches him on his shoulders/back and then drops from the ropes with a back to belly piledriver (White Noise). He covers but Ishida's resilience shows as he manages to kick out.

*Rex stalks Uryu and tries to get him up on his shoulders but Uryu drops behind and lashes a harash kick into the calf of Rex, causing him to drop to one knee. Ishida quickly runs the ropes and return with a sickening low dropkick to the face. He then springs off the ropes and lands a legdrop for a two count. Ishida beckons Rex up and looks for a superkick to the back of his head but Rex ducks it and lifts Uryu up into an electric chair position. Ishida then counters with a poisonrana and follows up with a crunching buzzsaw kick to the temple as Rex stumbles to a knee. Uryu makes the cover but Rex kicks out.

*Adamson grabs Uryu by the head and tries to flip him up for a powerbomb but Uryu leaps out back and staggers to the corner. Rex sprints in but Uryu dives away and sends his opponent against the turnbuckle. Rex stumbles back out as Uryu springs off the ropes and plants him with a tornado DDT. Uryu points to the turnbuckle now and the crowd cheer him on. He rushes over and leaps up top before preparing to launch himself into the "Split Second" but Rex is already up and up the turnbuckle into an astonishing overhead throw from on high. Rex drags Uryu up now and flips him into a spinning sit-down powerbomb but Ishida is somehow able to kick out again.

*Rex glares at the official and seems surprised by the two. JT thinks Rex has become so accustomed to winning that he just expects it. RJ thinks it is because Rex is just hell-bent on winning FFTR. Rex heads for the corner himself now and he rope walks along to the middle before leaping off for a front dropkick to Uryu's chest which sends him flying backwards and through the ropes onto the apron. Rex gets back up and he walks over before dragging Uryu up. He shows his power again to suplex Uryu over the top and back into the ring for a jackhammer but Ishida floats over and counters with a backstabber from nowhere which garners a two count.

*Uryu rolls out on the apron now and sucks in a deep breath. He urges Rex up and then springboards in for a huge forearm smash but Rex catches him in midair and drills him with a Samoan drop. Rex stumbles up and sprints to the corner before nailing a catapult inverted splash (ala Jack Swagger) but again Uryu is equal to it and manages to get his shoulder off the canvass. JT says "I have never seen an athlete with speed, power, stamina and aggression in abundance like this....it is frightening what Rex Adamson can do".

*Rex circles the ring now and crouches in the corner. He ushers Uryu up before sprinting at him for the "Gore" but Uryu leapfrogs over at the final second and then lands a pele kick as he lands. Rex is sent through the ropes onto the apron. Adamson tries to stand as Uryu amazingly flips over the ropes and captures his opponent into a devastating "Code Red" sunset bomb that sends them both crashing down onto the arena floor. The crowd are chanting and cheering the action as the referee has no choice but to just let them get back in of their own accord (No countouts).

*They both roll back in at the same time as more cheers ring out. Rex immediately sprints off the opposite ropes and returns for a "Gore" but Uryu sidesteps and sends him crashing against the turnbuckle before a schoolboy for two. They scramble back up and Uryu misses with a roundhouse kick as Rex locks his hands around the waist and drills him with a huge release German suplex. Adamson heads for the corner and climbs high before throwing himself into a "Lo' Down" frogsplash Uryu throws himself aside at the very last instant. Uryu rolls out on the apron and this time he is successful with the flying forearm smash but Rex pops the shoulder in time.

*Ishida grabs Rex's arm and wants the "Sunset" armbar but Rex shows incredible power to lift Uryu into the air with one arm and shifts him onto his shoulders in an electric chair positon before dropping him backward into a capture German (Croyt's Wrath) which gets another two. Rex sits there and just stares at the referee, trying to control his disbelief. He drags Uryu up now and flips him up for the "Fire/Thunder" Driver but Uryu drops off the back and shoves him into the ropes. Uryu swings a roundhouse kick but Rex baseball slides under him on the comeback. Rex is up in a flash as Uryu spins around and he pops him up for a powerbomb but Ishida counters with an x-factor facebuster for a nearfall. A "fight forever" chant is now ringing out in Liverpool.

*Uryu lets Rex up and targets both of his legs now with hard calf kicks before he runs the ropes for more momentum and succeeds in kicking Rex's legs out from under him. He backs into the corner and lifts himself onto the second rope before launching off with a meteora before rolling back onto his feet and leaps onto the opposite turnbuckle and moonsaults back as Rex gets up. Rex, however, has it scouted and he doesn't even catch Uryu but instead just sits down and guides him into the most devastating and explosive "Fire/Thunder" Driver. The crowd are on their feet, shock on their faces, as Rex hooks both legs and gets the three count. Rex Adamson is heading for the semi-finals.

*The commentators are giving praise to both men for an amazing match and an incredible improvisation for the ending. JT doesn't see how Rex can be stopped from getting his hands on the FFTR briefcase. RJ tempers that by saying "There's still plenty of world class talent in this tournament". But both agree that if Rex does get his hands on the case then it is going to be practically impossible to stop him from becoming world champion. The crowd continue to applaud as Rex stares down at Uryu, vindicated, and then he clambers from the ring. JT reminds us that Rex has now defeated a ninth world champion since joining 6CWF less than a year ago. RJ also talks about how the match was "No DQ" but neither man even entertained the idea of using weapons.

Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29) Empty Re: Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 8 Apr - 10:30

*A triumphant Rex Adamson swaggers into the backstage area and we hear him yell "Tell them to f***ing follow that". There is a slow clap as Rex swings around and finds himself confronted by Chris Patricks. Patricks congratulates Rex on the win and also on being "the dumbest SOB on the roster". He still can't see Eddy Kent's manipulation, the subtle gaslighting. Telling Rex he's the "Future" but when exactly is the future? It's such a broad term isn't it. And telling Rex which world title he will win, plotting his path, picking his destination. And when he doesn't like something that Rex does, he'll punish him accordingly. But Rex will accept it because he is indoctrinated. Unlike his Uncle. Because Max never bowed to anyone, never followed anyone, he cut his own path and that's why he will be respected and revered, even when he's retired.....Rex smirks at this now and says even Patricks knows what's coming and they can't fight off the inevitable. He just wonders if CP will be the one to put Max down for good or if Eddy Kent will have to do it....Rex gets close to Patricks now and says "He screwed Joyce didn't he?". Rex laughs as he backs away and leaves Patricks seething with rage.

*We are back out at ringside now and there are violent boos from the audience as Clarke James, Lex Hart and Perfect Jack make their entrance. We get a recap on the shocking revelation last week with Perfect Execution's return and siding with James. The commentators want answers and so do the fans. Clarke James gets on the mic and he says he doesn't owe anyone any kind of explanation and he isn't in the mind to give one. This isn't some great plot twist but you are looking at three men who are ready to change the industry in the same way the NWO forced changed in the 90s. Because they have the stature and the platform to do so. Because they see this facade for what it really is and they are the antidote to the poison seeping through the veins of the company. A poison injected in the first place by JJ Johnson.

Clarke tells us he has found two like minded individuals, legends of the sport and two other men who have been s*** on by 6CWF over the years in favour of others. Two men who know exactly what JJ Johnson and his "boys club" are all about. They may be seen as the villains and they don't mind that but they will facilitate change, they will force change and history will remember them for the revolutionists that they are. Clarke James promises that at Night of Glory there will be blood and there will be violence. The Coalition will fall at the hands of Exodus as they usher in a new era of professional wrestling.

We see a shot of Alex Walker watching the speech from backstage and he looks concerned as Clarke James passes the mic to Lex Hart. Lex Hart says his has been labelled "a pariah"....spent his entire career being cast out and painted as "the bad guy".....well if you want a bad guy then that's exactly what you are going to get. You think the creation of "Genesis" was problematic then "Exodus" is going to blow your fragile minds. He tried years ago to prevent this sham by breaking JJ Johnson's neck but like a cockroach in a nuclear site Johnson has a way of surviving. But he won't survive what is coming. He and his band of merry men have no idea what is coming but rest assured this is the end.

Perfect Jack takes the mic now and he tells the crowd to shut up. He's toed the line for along time, even begged for the crowd's adulation, but where has it ever got him? He points to the scar across his face (from a Clarke James attack in 2020) and says once I was blind but now I see, I see clearer than ever before and he understands the mission. Jack says he isn't a man of many words, he never has been, but actions speak louder and the actions that are forthcoming will be deafening.

The crowd roar now as The Coalition arrive on the stage. JJ Johnson stares at the three men threatening the future of 6CWF. He, Acer & Saint crack a few jokes but they admit the time to get serious has arrived. Parasite Killers were a joke, a pushover, cannon fodder but the three men standing in front of them pose the biggest risk to this industry, perhaps ever. The battlelines are drawn, the war is coming and they can jibe back and forth but this is personal and they'd rather just commence with the fight....because that is exactly what is coming and that is a fight to the end...because Lex Hart & Perfect Jack may be new to this but anyone who aligns with Clarke James, who aligns with a man who has threatened his children, his wife....they are as much the enemy as he is and they will pay the same price....

Security arrive now and it is clear that "VIP Promotions" are putting their foot down and exercising their last bit of control to ensure this doesn't spill over. The two teams continue to stare each other down as the commentators hype the impending battle for the ages.

Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29) Empty Re: Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 8 Apr - 10:38

*A disconsolate Uryu Ishida heads into the backstage area following his defeat to Rex Adamson. A plinth has been set up and there is a promotional shoot going on for the return of "Xtreme" at Night of Glory. The brand new championship belt is there. Clarissa arrives and wants to commiserate with Uryu whilst asking him where he goes from here? Uryu doesn't have a lot to say but he stares at the Xtreme Championship belt and walks closer to it. He stares at the gold as the scene comes to an end.

*Scene change and Robin Reborn is on the mic. Reborn's brashness knows no bounds as he reiterates his challenge from earlier in the week to put down any "legend" on the grand stage of Night of Glory. Reborn makes sure he targets Enforcer with plenty of jibes as well as running down on Trash TV & The Dynasty as well as any of Big E's achievements. Reborn is tired of the disrespect but is promising to put the limelight firmly back on himself at Night of Glory.

Bout 2
Xtreme Rules
Anthony Grace vs Enforcer vs Ojore

*We return to ringside as commentary remind us that every match tonight is "No DQ" so the "Xtreme Rules" billing attached to this next contest is redundant as all matches are effectively "Xtreme Rules". However there are plenty of aspects to this match which make it extremely interesting. Enforcer & Anthony Grace's history which has yet to come to a head. Grace's history with Ojore (during his feud with Robin Reborn) and of course Enforcer's ongoing issues with Reborn/Ojore. We get a recap on last week when Enforcer intervened and stopped Ojore from attacking Grace backstage. JT also reminds us that "as of yet" none of these men have clear plans for Night of Glory so it'll be interesting to see what develops coming out of this one.

*Ojore is the first to enter the fray and he looks ready for battle, dressed with old war helmet on. We are reminded of his devastating run as "Xtreme" Champion in 6CW and how he obviously has his eyes on returning to the reincarnated division. Ojore clambers up into the ring and bounces off the ropes before Anthony Grace arrives to a big ovation from the audience. Grace stands on the stage and soaks up the atmosphere as RJ runs us down on Grace's disappointment to lose his spot in FFTR last week and where he is heading? His victory over Robin Reborn at Day of Reckoning was supposed to be the catapult to bigger things but as of yet that has not materialised.

*Grace circles the outside of the ring as Ojore yells at him to come and fight. "Saturday Night" then shatters the airwaves and every fan is standing for the arrival of Enforcer. The former 6WF & 6CW Champion strides out on the stage and nods in appreciation of the crowd's support. He begins walking down the rampway toward the ring as Robin Reborn springs from the crowd, using the guardrail as a catapult, and he slams into the side of Enforcer's head with a brutal forearm that sends Big E staggering off the opposite side of the ramp and crashing to the concrete floor. Reborn does not look impressed as we are reminded of the ongoing war of words between Enforcer & RR in recent weeks.

*Anthony Grace turns to face the commotion when Ojore grabs him by the head and launches him over the ropes into the ring. Grace stumbles up in the corner as Ojore roars in with a huge splash but Grace avoids it. Ojore slams the turnbuckle and staggers out as Grace tries to lift him on his shoulders. Ojore lands huge elbows to break his grip and then underhooks both of Grace's arms before lifting him off the floor and then slams him back down on his chest with sickening impact.

*Robin Reborn has dragged Enforcer around the side of the stage and he runs him head-first into a metal camera support which splits E's head and sends him staggering across an equipment table. The crowd are booing furiously as Reborn shows amazing athleticism to get himself back up on the stage and then he throws all caution to the wind as he launches off into a shooting star press which obliterates Enforcer through the table. It's not looking good for Enforcer's chances of participating in this match. Security arrive and Robin Reborn is being shoved away as we hear him yelling "This my house".

*Back at ringside and Ojore has a trash can which he throws to Grace. Grace catches it as Ojore runs head-first into it and crashes it against Grace's chest, sending him rolling across the ring. Ojore then drags Grace to the corner and is looking for a Banzai drop but Grace rolls from the ring. Ojore gives chase as Grace grabs a steel chair and swings but Ojore bats it away. Grace kicks Ojore in the stomach and looks for an Irish whip but the powerhouse reverses and sends him crashing against the steel steps. Ojore is definitely looking more like his old self in this environment. He pulls the ring apron up and drags a table out and then a toolbox. He places the toolbox on the apron but then rests the table, horizontally, against the ringside barrier. He pulls Grace up and scoops him on his shoulders before running toward the table for a powerslam but Grace drops behind at the last minute and shoves Ojore through the table.

*Grace catches his breath but Ojore is already beginning to stand back up. Grace pulls himself up on the ringside barrier and then he jumps off with a varied bulldog which drives Ojore's face down into the top of the steel steps. He pushes Ojore into the ring now and starts looking inside the toolbox. The commentators have never seen this side of Grace before but he is certainly immersing himself in "Xtreme". Grace pulls out a screwdriver and he ducks a clothesline and stabs at the gut of Ojore in the same motion. He then leaps on Ojore's back, locking in the hooks, as he jams the screwdriver into the cheek of the big man. Ojore lets out a roar of pain but then rushes backward and crushes Grace against the turnbuckle. Ojore drives backward three more times until Grace slumps into a seated position and then he circles the ring and charges back in with a crushing hip splash (ala Umaga)

*Ojore walks over to the toolbox now and he picks the whole thing up before walking over and smashes it across Grace's spine. He then places the box on the floor and he drags Grace up before gutwrenching him into the air and slams him down, stomach first, on the box again. Ojore jumps from the ring again and he is searching underneath before dragging out a barbed wire board and slides it in the ring. He then drags out a baking tray and rolls in the ring before smashing it across Grace's back as he tries to stand. Ojore then scoops Grace in his arms and he carries him over to the barbed wire board and prepares for the "World's Strongest Slam" but Grace jumps over the back and staggers into ropes. Ojore spins on his heel and tears forward but Grace pulls down the ropes and sends the big man to the outside. Grace then heads for the corner and he pulls himself up on the turnbuckle before performing an astonishing moonsault to the outside.

*Grace heads over to the announce area now and he grabs a steel chair before walking back toward Ojore and just launches the weapon (ECW style) against his skull, forcing him to sit down against the ringside barrier in a heap. Grace pulls the ring steps into the middle of the floor now and he waits for Ojore to start rising. Ojore stumbles over with his head hovering over the steel steps as Grace runs forward for the "Thunderstruck" (Famea55er) but Ojore catches him on his shoulders and then powerbombs Grace on top of the steps, leaving him to writhe in agony.

*Ojore pulls Grace up now into a bearhug before driving him back into the ringpost. He carries Grace around the ring and crashes him into all four posts, leaving deep red marks on his back, before he slings him back into the ring. Grace is struggling here as he uses the ropes to pull himself up. Ojore drives a huge punch into the spine of Grace now and drags him into the centre before lifting him into a back suplex but Grace flips over the back. Ojore turns but Grace drop toe holds him onto the barbed wire board. Ojore pulls himself free, blood leaking from his forehead, as Grace nails the "Blockbuster" tornado kick. He covers but Ojore amazingly kicks out on two.

*Grace falls from the ring and grabs the ring bell. The commentators are praising Grace and how he is adapting to a division he has never competed in. He beckons Ojore up and swings the bell at his head but Ojore dodges it and he lifts Grace into the air with one hand before slamming him down on the barbed wire (ala Bobby Lashley style spinebuster). Ojore drags Grace into the corner now and he leaps off with the chest crushing Banzai drop. Grace spits some blood onto the canvass as RJ worries he may have internal injuries. Ojore follows up with a second Banzai and Grace really is in bad shape.

*Ojore lets out a giant roar and holds up three fingers to signal he is aiming to complete the hat-trick. He begins climbing the turnbuckle again when Enforcer, bleeding and battered, leaps onto the apron and breaks a hockey stick over the big man's head. Ojore is practically unconscious, swaying on the turnbuckle, as Anthony Grace stumbles back to his feet. Grace and Enforcer stare at each other before Big E drops down off the apron and heads toward the backstage area. Anthony Grace makes his way to the corner now and he clambers up behind Ojore before deliving an astonishing back suplex from the turnbuckle that crashes Ojore down onto the barbed wire board once more. Ojore is yelling in pain, his back bleeding profusely, as Grace follows up with the "Thunderstruck" (Famea55er) and covers for the three count.

*RJ & JT are taken aback by the fact that Enforcer assisted Grace for the victory here but it JT believes it's more to do with E's issues with Reborn rather than a budding friendship between the former rivals. Grace is holding his ribs and chest, clearly suffering from the war he has just been through, as he tries to stand up but then falls back down on one knee. The referee goes to check on him but Grace assures him he is ok. The crowd are then stunned as someone rolls in the ring from behind and obliterates Grace with a flying knee to the back of his skull. There is a roar from the audience as Marty Helms climbs to his feet and stares around the arena before glaring back down at Anthony Grace. Helms is back in 6CWF and the former world champion has made a huge impact within seconds.

Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29) Empty Re: Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29)

*Alex Walker heads out into the open area at the back of the arena to meet with Exodus. He asks to speak with Clarke alone but CJ says anything that needs to be said can be said in front of them all. There is clear tension between Walker & James as well as Walker & Lex. CJ tells Walker that the time for all the talking has stopped and they have plans to fulfil. James says Walker had his chance to deliver on his promises and he failed so now Exodus will do what he couldn't. Walker wants to know where he fits in. CJ stares at him for a long moment and then says "I'll let you know". Exodus leave Walker looking concerned.

*The Coalition are talking inside of JJ's office. JJ wants Acer & Saint's mind on Perfect Execution tonight and to be ready for anything. Acer wants to know where JJ will be but JJ says he is heading to the Docks alone to face Blue Dragon. Saint thinks it is crazy that JJ is doing anything alone right now as well as the fact that any beef with Dragon can wait. JJ understands but he gave the keys to Kincade & Dragon tonight and he intends to honour that deal.

He knows Acer & Saint can take care of business and then it's all eyes on Night of Glory and finishing this for good. JJ leaves and it is clear Acer & Saint are extremely concerned about Johnson's decision making.

*Geoff Steel is just finishing up his preparation and he swings open the locker-room door when he finds himself face to face with Liam Wood. The two men stare at one another before Wood just walks away and heads for Gorilla. Steel takes a deep breath and then follows as the commentators hype up their impending showdown.

*Enforcer is banged up after the "Xtreme" triple threat but he arrives in the backstage area and summons Tim Allen. Big E wants to waste absolutely no time and says Reborn can call off his search for a Night of Glory opponent because it will be his pleasure to break Reborn's face on May 18th.

*Marty Helms strides into the back following his vicious assault on Anthony Grace. Jack Reynolds is on hand to grab an interview with the returnee but Helms snatches the mic. The whole roster is on notice, not just the B movie g1mp. Helms is the baddest motherf***er walking this earth and he intends on reminding each and everyone of these wastes of space. Helms claims to have hit Grace "harder than suicide ever could" and that is just a taster of what is to come. Helms says he feels refreshed, revitalised and ready for war....some may even say he feels "Xtreme".

Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29) Empty Re: Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29)

Bout 3
Fight for the Right
Geoff Steel vs Liam Wood

*Major hype in the arena for the clash of two fan favourites in the next contest. A divide can already be heard as Liam Wood makes his entrance. Wood looks laser focused as he makes his way to the ring. We get an update on some exchanges between Wood & Steel over the last week and Wood keeping it very professional, bordering on disrespect, by refusing a handshake with Steel.

*Steel then enters to a raucous ovation and he too has big focus. We are reminded of Steel's up and down 2023 but he is looking to put himself in the big picture as we head toward Night of Glory. It's 13 years since Steel last held a world championship but the FFTR briefcase puts him within touching distance of the mountain top once more. RJ believes this could be a match of the year contender and that either of these men could easily win this tournament.

*Steel and Wood stand and glare at one another as the referee gives final instructions. The noise is deafening as the two men circle and then engage in a lockup. Steel is the stronger and he applies a side headlock but Wood bounces off the ropes and shoves him across the ring. Steel returns with a shoulder block takedown and then he ushers Wood back up and dodges a right hand before attempting to apply a full nelson. Wood struggles against the grip and swings out before trying to pull Steel into a swinging inverted STO (Sister Abigail) but Steel elbows free. Wood comes back around and eats a big right hand before he is whipped to the corner. Steel follows in but eats a big kick to the mouth which staggers him back. Wood lifts himself onto the second rope and leaps off for an axe handle but Steel catches him and launches him overhead with a belly to belly.

*Wood stumbles up in the corner as Steel crashes into him with a clothesline and then lifts him onto the turnbuckle. They climb up and Steel wants a superplex but Wood holds firm and drives at his stomach with hard punches. Wood headbutts Steel and then he wraps his hand around his throat and stuns the audience with a chokeslam into a backbreaker from the ropes. He makes the cover but Steel is as tough as they come and manages to push his shoulder off the mat before the three.

*Wood drags Steel up and tries to flip him for a "Lungblower" but Steel lands on his feet and smashes his head into Wood's face. He runs forward but Wood drops the shoulder and backdrops Steel over the ropes. Steel is just pulling himself up on the apron as Wood runs the opposite side and returns with a flying apron spear which sends both men crashing down onto the arena floor. JT marvels at both men laying it all on the line from the get go with no expense spared. Wood drags Steel up and looks to suplex him on the arena floor but Steel stands strong and counters with a suplex into a front slam which crashes Wood's spine across the ringside barrier. RJ thinks Wood may be making a mistake by engaging with Steel on the outside in a match with No DQ because this is very much Steel's environment.

*Steel launches Wood back in the ring and then climbs onto the apron. He ushers Wood up and then catapults himself over into a shoulder tackle takedown. Wood stumbles back up and misses with a wild punch as Steel lifts him into a "Blue Thunder" Bomb for a two count. Steel grabs Wood by the head and pulls him up for the "Bladecutter" but Wood runs him back into the corner and drills a shoulder thrust into his midsection. He follows up with two more and then lifts Steel onto the turnbuckle. Wood clambers up now and he is looking for the "Manson Driver" off the top but Steel battles free and then takes his chance to wow the audience with a brilliant side-effect neckbreaker from on high. Steel covers but Wood shows his guts to kick out.

*Steel listens to the roar of the crowd as he beckons Wood up and scoops him on his shoulders. He prepares for an "AA" but Wood grabs the top rope to prevent it. Steel ends up launching Wood over the ropes onto the apron but "Viper" lands on his feet and then nails a step-up kick to the head. Steel staggers back toward the middle of the ring as Wood springboards in and takes him out with a clothesline. He drags Steel up now and this time he scores with a lungblower before hooking both legs for a two. Wood heads for the corner now and he goes high before flying for an elbow to heart but Steel moves aside. Steel gets up now and grabs Wood's legs before turning him over into the "Steelworks" (Liontamer). Wood is in agony as he tries to scramble for the ropes but Steel drags him back to the middle and presses his knee into the spine. Wood is thinking of quitting but somehow twists his body back out under Steel's legs and drags him down into an inside cradle for a near fall.

*They both scramble back up and Steel smashes a knee into Wood's gut, stopping him in his tracks. Steel then looks for a pumphandle slam but Wood drops off the back and counters with a tiger suplex for two. They get up again and Wood runs the ropes and attempts the "Psycho Crusher" foot stomp but Steel avoids it and runs the ropes himself before exploding back with a huge spear that takes Wood out of his boots. Steel then scores with the pumphandle slam but Liam Wood is proving his level as he kicks out once more. Steel looks at the referee for a moment, almost disbelieving. The commentators talk about Steel's form and his increasing failure to get the job done in the big match. Is this becoming a crisis of confidence for the former world champion.

*Steel ushers Wood up and he scoops him on his shoulders for a running powerslam. Wood manages to drop off the back and he kicks Steel in the stomach as he turns. Wood looks for the "Manson Driver" but Steel shows outrageous power to lift Wood in the air so Wood's head is nearly touching the floor and then Steel drops to his knees so that Wood's head crashes into the canvass between his legs in a variation of the "MK Ultra". Steel drags himself over to the corner now and he goes high before throwing himself through the air for the flying headbutt to the chest. He nods his head, believing he has it, and hooks the legs but Wood kicks out again. Steel's eyes are wide now and even though the crowd are cheering him on it is becoming quite clear that he is frustrated.

*Steel rolls from the ring now and he is looking over at a stack of steel chairs as the commentators remind us that there are no disqualifications tonight. Steel shakes his head and turns back toward the ring now as Wood crashes into him with a baseball slide that sends him smashing backward into the announce desks. Wood lifts Steel up and drops him on the table again before he grabs him by the scruff of the neck and looks to run him into the steel steps but Steel reverses and smashes Wood's head into them. Steel then grabs the steel steps and he lifts them up before shoving them into the ring. Steel drags Wood up now and looks for a falcon arrow but Wood floats over the back and shoves his foe into the ringpost. Steel is dazed as Wood drills him on the arena floor with the "Sister Abigail". He just sits there for a moment now as Steel remains face down on the floor.

*Wood drags the deadweight of Steel up and is trying to push him back in the ring but Steel turns his body and gets his foot up before shoving Wood backward toward the announce table once more. Steel races forward but Wood uses his momentum to lift him up into a flapjack and drops him on top of the "Japanese" table. Wood climbs up on the table now and he drags Steel up for the "Manson Driver" but Steel shifts his feet to the side and he scoops Wood up on his shoulders before launching him from the "Japanese" table through the "Social Media" desk. The fans are on their feet as Steel collapses into a seated position and tries to regain himself. He then climbs down and uses his strength to pull Wood back to the ring and throws him inside. JT says "This has to be all" as Steel makes the cover but Liam Wood is not giving up. Steel has his head on his hands now, what more does he have to do in order to win this match?

*Steel rolls from the ring again and he pushes the base of the steel steps into the ring now before sending a table in as well. Steel is definitely channelling the "Xtreme" now. He uses each part of the steps as a platform as he places the legs of the table on each, elevating it off the floor. He then drags Wood over and tries to flip him up for a powerbomb but Wood lands on his feet and nails a discus forearm which sends Steel into the ropes but then he roars back with an incredible clothesline from hell which spins Wood inside out (ala Jon Moxley). Steel ushers Wood up and lifts him into his arms before walking to the corner and beginning to climb. Steel has something major in mind here as he prepares for the moonsault fall away slam (ala Hangman Page) through the table. Wood battles free, however, and is stood on the ropes with Steel now. Steel drops his shoulder now and tries to scoop Wood up but he pushes Steel's head down and hooks his arms. The crowd are on their feet as Wood then jumps from the ropes and he drives Steel through the table with a top-rope pedigree (Manson Driver). Both men are in a bad way but Wood, whether meant or not, has managed to drape an arm over Steel's chest for a three count. Liam Wood has advanced to the semi-finals.

*There is a standing ovation from the crowd for what they have just witnessed. Geoff Steel is still face down in the wreckage as Liam Wood sits with his back resting against the steel steps in the ring. JT & RJ pay homage to both but how much has this taken out of Liam Wood going forward? As for Geoff Steel, despite a great showing, this is another disappointment on the road to "Night of Glory IX". Where does the former world champion go from here. Wood staggers into the ropes as he tries to stand and JT says "I'd watch that again on pay per view, that's how good that was". JT is sticking with Rex as his pick but RJ believes Liam Wood has to be the favourite now and is tipping him to secure the briefcase at Night of Glory.

Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29) Empty Re: Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 8 Apr - 12:03

*Anthony Grace is in the backstage area now and he is standing in front of the brand new Xtreme Championship belt. Grace is rubbing the back of his neck following Marty Helms' attack. Clarissa arrives and wants to get Grace's views on what went down where Grace is heading with Night of Glory on the horizon. Grace says he's played all manner of roles in his time but he always had the most fun during the "action" flicks so he doesn't know who he needs to talk to but he is officially putting himself forward for whatever is planned for the "Xtreme" Championship at Night of Glory. Grace says he has proven he can go to war with the best of them so what better way to stand on business than to lead the new era of "Xtreme". He then invites Marty Helms to put his money where his mouth is and join him. Geoff Steel walks into shot now and he stares at Grace and then he stares at the title belt. Steel winces in pain from his battle with Liam Wood but he nods his head at the gold and walks off.

*Liam Wood walks out of the tunnel into the backstage area. He is sweating and bruised from his encounter with Geoff Steel but he is victorious. He picks up a towel and dries off his face and when he throws the towel down he finds himself staring at Rex Adamson. The two men just stare as the scene ends.

*Edward Plague & GazzyD are talking and Plague is querying whether Gazzy still believes in their cause after he questioned Plague last week. Gazzy bows his head and says he still believes. Plague is happy to hear it because tonight he wants Gazzy to show his full commitment by facing Logan Kincade alone and proving himself. Plague needs to know that Gazzy can stand on his own two feet and fight this battle because very soon the waters will get deeper and murkier, Plague needs to be sure that Gazzy is the righteous one and can protect the family from those who wish to take what is most precious to them. Gazzy says he is ready and that he was just concerned for Christy and the baby. Plague tells Gazzy he must cast all doubt from his mind. He has given Gazzy no reason to doubt that he has their best interests at heart and that Christy and the baby are taken care of. But in return he must have full focus.....Gazzy promises his devotion and intends to show it tonight against Logan Kincade.

*Logan Kincade is staring at himself in a broken mirror backstage as he holds up a steel chair wrapped in barbed wire. Blue Dragon enters and says Logan has control for the rest of the night because he's leaving to "take care of business". The two brothers stare at one another and there's no "be careful" or "watch your back". Dragon leaves as Logan twirls the chair in his hands and then smashes what remains of the mirror.

*O'Callaghan is interviewed and he states that he isn't in action tonight because 6CWF is concerned he is showing up the rest of the talent. First match and he knocked off the European Champ, last week he knocked off another former world champion and the momentum just keeps rolling. Jack Reynolds wants to know OC's plans for Night of Glory IX and the Irishman claims "Whatever the (beep) I want". O'Callaghan believes he walks into any match with any opponent because he's the best in the world and that's what he is capable of. So watch this space because it might be next week or he may wait until the show itself but on that night everyone will know his intentions.

Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29) Empty Re: Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29)

Bout 4
First Blood
GazzyD vs Logan Kincade

*The Liverpool crowd are vociferous as we return to ringside. Michael Bird gives us the simplistic rules of this bout; whoever bleeds first loses the match. RJ is expecting "Night of Gory" here and that Logan Kincade, just like his brother later tonight, has picked a match to suit his own personal skillset. We get a recap on the issues that began at Day of Reckoning and certainly went to a whole new place last week when Logan & Dragon tried to burn Gazzy inside of a dumpster. How will Gazzy respond to that tonight? Is there dissension in the ranks between himself & Plague?

*Logan enters first to a hero's reception in front of his hometown audience. Flames burn from the stage and there are huge pyrotechnics as JT remarks that Logan has spared no expense on his own entrance. He makes his way the ring and immediately he drags a steel chair wrapped in barbed wire from under the ring. RJ says "One shot with that and you're going to get your blood, guaranteed". Kincade twirls the weapon in his hand and smashes against the ringpost before rolling under the bottom rope. Logan is smirking as he glares at the entranceway, waiting for his opponent.

*Gazzy's music hits but he doesn't appear on the stage. Logan is smiling until Gazzy comes from behind and slams a chair against his spine, staggering him into the ropes. Gazzy then charges forward with the chair but Logan drives his foot up and boots the weapon into Gazzy's face, staggering him backward. The referee checks for blood but there is none. Logan picks up his barbed wire chair again but Gazzy runs forward and lands a low dropkick to the head as he is leaning down, sending him crashing into the turnbuckle. Gazzy sets his chair up and backs away to the opposite corner. He runs forward and uses the chair to launch himself into a solo poetry in motion but Kincade catches him and just tosses him over the top to the outside.

*Logan climbs out and brings his barbed wire chair with him. Gazzy gets up and Kincade swings at his head but Gazzy ducks as it clatters the steel steps. Gazzy boots the steps into Logan's stomach and then he grabs his arm and whips him into one of the announce desks, the impact flipping the desk on its side as the commentators scramble for safety. Gazzy searches under the ring apron and drags out a kendo stick which he uses to lash across Logan's back. There are deep red welts but no blood as of yet. Gazzy beckons Kincade up and he slams the kendo stick into his body and then snaps it across the back of his head. The referee checks Logan but there is no sign of blood at this point.

*Gazzy starts stripping the matting off the floor to reveal the concrete underneath. He then drags Kincade to his feet and hooks his arms in place for "Deep Impact" but Logan counters with a backdrop, sending Gazzy crashing down on the exposed floor. Logan staggers over and lifts the steel steps up on his shoulders. Gazzy gets up as Kincade throws the steps toward his head but he just manages to duck as they crash against the ringpost. Kincade quickly runs forward and drops Gazzy with a clothesline before ragging him back to his feet and he flips him into a powerbomb position before crashing him off the ring apron, Gazzy is left in a battered heap on the floor.

*The commentators are wondering where the paths for these men are leading as "Night of Glory" looms large on the horizon. RJ is concerned that we are heading into a bloodbath for the ages no matter what happens. Logan Kincade has the barbed wire steel chair again and he slams it down on the exposed concrete floor before he drags Gazzy up and prepares to piledrive him on top. Gazzy struggles and then he manages to swipe Logan's feet and then catapults him through the air and sends him, head-first, into the ringpost. Once again the official checks for blood but there isn't any. Gazzy grabs the barbed wire chair down and he spins it in his hands before following Logan around ringside. He swings but Logan ducks under the shot and uses his shoulder to backdrop Gazzy over the barrier into the front row of the crowd.

*Logan climbs over now and they brawl into the audience, much to the delight of the fans. They end up in one of the upper tiers of the right side of the arena as Logan pummels Gazzy toward the balcony that drops down into the right stage area. Gazzy is rocked against the railings and then Logan grabs him by the throat. Kincade clearly has designs on a chokeslam from the balcony to the arena floor (a ten foot drop) but Gazzy drives his boot up between Logan's legs. Kincade staggers into the railings now as Gazzy backs off into the crowd and then he runs back with a flying dropkick which sends Logan flying over the railings and he drops ten feet to the concrete floor as the crowd go wild. Logan is in a battered heap on the floor but he isn't bleeding from the fall. Kincade slowly starts to rise to his feet as Gazzy climbs up on the railing now before launching himself off into a senton takedown. The audience are rocking from the action they are witnessing.

*Gazzy pushes equipment off a table before dragging it into the centre of the floor now. He drags Logan up and lands heavy punches until he slumps across the table. Gazzy continues to land right hands, taking out his pent up frustration, and then he finds a ladder and sets that up. He ascends to the top and looks down at Kincade but Logan is already scaling the other side. They trade shots on the top of the ladder and then Logan grabs Gazzy's head and bites at his face. Gazzy pulls away, feeling for a cut, but Logan drags him back now and superplexes Gazzy over the top and they crash from ten foot through the table and land in a devastating fashion on the arena floor. The referee looks concerned for both men's safety as a "Holy (beep)" chant rings out.

*It takes an age for both men to start rising but eventually they are up on their feet. Logan drives into Gazzy with a knee to the stomach and then whips him into the side of the stage. Gazzy staggers back and Logan seizes him by the throat but Gazzy jumps out the side and then lands a step-up enzeguiri which sends Kincade stumbling down the side of the ramp toward the ring. Gazzy follows and he clambers onto the security barrier and runs along before leaping off with a headscissors which sends Kincade crashing back into the ring apron, smashing his head off it. Gazzy's body is wracked in agony but he pushes through as he searches under the ring again and this time he withdraws a light-tube. He whips it through the air but Logan ducks and it shatters against the ringpost. Kincade then kicks Gazzy in the stomach and then grabs his head. He uses the ringpost now to run up and spring off as he lands the "Blind Justice" (Deadly Dog) on the arena floor. Gazzy is flat on his back as the referee checks for blood but there are still no cuts, much to the amazement of the commentary team.

*Logan drags Gazzy up and slings him back into the ring before he grabs his barbed wire chair. He rolls back in and he fixes the weapon between the middle and top turnbuckles. Kincade pulls Gazzy up and he whips him toward the chair but Gazzy, despite the injuries, leaps onto the turnbuckle and then backflips over Kincade as he rushes forward. Logan spins around and Gazzy kicks him in the gut before scoring with "Deep Impact". Under normal circumstances Gazzy would have the match in the bag but there are no pinfalls. Instead he grabs the barbed wire chair and he places it on the head of Kincade before he climbs out onto the apron. Gazzy then springboards onto the top rope and into a 450 splash but Logan launches the chair upward and it collides with Gazzy in midair. The referee moves over to check on Gazzy but the chair only just brushed him and didn't inflict any cuts. Logan stumbles up to his feet now and he stalks Gazzy before grabbing by the back of the neck. "Rough Justice" is on the cards but Gazzy flicks his heel back and lands another low blow on his opponent. Gazzy nails Logan with the "History Maker" (inverted twist of fate) and follows up with starship pain off the ropes. He grabs the barbed wire chair once more and sets it in the middle of the ring before dragging Logan up for another "Deep Impact". Logan counters with a backdrop and then staggers to the corner. Gazzy gets up and rushes in but Logan uses his momentum to send him up and over the ropes, head first into the ringpost.

*Kincade waits for the referee to check for blood but Gazzy has no wound. He is very disorientated as he stumbles back and Logan grabs him by the back of the neck again and this time he ploughs him into the canvass for "Rough Justice" (Face-first chokeslam). Logan stands over Gazzy for a long moment and then a sinister smile comes over his face. He rolls from the ring and starts searching underneath the ring. Kincade returns and he places two 2x4 planks on the mat, four light-tubes in a row on top. He sprinkles thumbtacks on top of that before dousing it in petrol. Kincade lights it all on fire with a look of savageness in his eyes. The fans are going wild as the referee tries to plead with Logan but he merely shoves the official to the floor and drags Gazzy up. Logan places Gazzy's head between his legs and prepares to flip him up into a powerbomb but Gazzy suddenly swings his body around and somehow he drives Logan down with a tornado DDT into the flaming deathtrap. The crowd are going absolutely nuts at what has just happened. Gazzy is rolling in agony and there is blood all down his back from the lighttubes, thumbtacks stuck in his spine. Logan's head has been smashed and his whole face is covered in blood from the impact. The referee doesn't seem to know what call to make because it is impossible to determine who bled first.

*The audience are still rocking from the chaos. Gazzy is in the corner, taking deep breaths, as the announcement is for a draw. He is wide eyed with shock as he tries to cling to the ropes and drag himself up. The crowd pop huge now as Logan just gets to his feet like a horror villain, his face completely masked in blood. He is laughing and looks totally at ease with his pain, thumbtacks stuck in parts of his head and face. Gazzy has no idea that Logan is up but he turns around and staggers into the ropes at the sight before him. Gazzy doesn't seem to know what to do as Logan continues to smile. Gazzy falls through the ropes to the outside and it clear he has no intention of continuing this fight. Logan grabs the barbed wire steel chair off the mat and he stares at Gazzy as he presses the weapon into his own face, drawing more blood. RJ can be heard wretching as JT says "Logan is a complete madman....in this kind of environment, he is King". Gazzy is stood in the aisleway and he just looks back as Logan holds the chair into the air, drawing yet more cheers from the audience. The commentary talk about how Gazzy more than held his own tonight and showed his own credentials but how can you not be intimidated by Logan's pain threshold? RJ wonders where we go next, where exactly is that murderous feud heading? Because after what we have seen in recent weeks there is only savagery and mayhem on the horizon.

Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29) Empty Re: Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 8 Apr - 12:36

*Scott Harris is doing some last minute prep in the gym when he hears a clatter from the weights bench behind and Mike Masters is grinning at him. Masters says he is merely here to wish Harris luck tonight and wouldn't want anything to get in his way of winning FFTR. Although even with a guaranteed contract for a world title shot Masters is sure Harris would choke. Masters says Harris doesn't have the killer instinct but Harris challenges him to keep pressing because he's getting closer to finding out. The two rivals stare down one another before Harris leaves. Masters grins and takes a bite from an apple.

*Clarke James is sitting in Alex Walker's office in Walker's chair. The FFTR briefcase is on the desk in front of him and James is just staring at the case as though drawing power from it and its contents. He takes a deep breath and rises before leaving the room.
*A bloodstained GazzyD staggers into the locker-room and immediately reaches for his phone. He dials but doesn't get any answer. We hear him say "Christy.....you were right, about so much....and I have been a fool, such an idiot....but I can make this right, for you, for our baby".......Gazzy quickly stows the phone away as we hear humming and Edward Plague appears. He smiles at Gazzy as he places a hand under his chin and raises his head. Plague declares himself "proud" of Gazzy's fight and commitment to the cause but their work tonight is not done. Plague claims he still has a message to deliver.

*Jerome Dubois takes centre stage now. He says he has always been lumbered with bad pushes, terrible gimmicks and looked down upon by the so called "elite". The world does not know the true Jerome Dubois, but soon they will and at Night of Glory he will end a fifteen year feud with Cobra and he will cut the head from the snake as he ushers in a new era. Dubois claims that "6CW" belongs to him and from this point forward he is going to prove it.

Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29) Empty Re: Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29)

Bout 5
Fight for the Right
Clarke James vs Scott Harris

*Back to ringside and the commentary team are talking about what we have seen thus far between The Coalition & Exodus. Will that impact on tonight? Also will Mike Masters continue to get inside Scott Harris’ head? Are either of these competitors fully focused on the task at hand? JT says “They better be….because this is Fight for the Right, this is practically a world championship in your hand….if you’re not focused on that then you are in the wrong business”…RJ agrees and adds “Clarke James is hell bent on being world champion, that is his primary focus and has been since returning to 6CWF. You can talk about all the issued with The Coalition but this all began because he wants to be world champion again, don’t ever forget that”.

*Scott Harris enters to a standing ovation and he nods in appreciation of the support he is receiving. Harris bobs from one foot to the other and then makes his way to the ring, rolling in under the bottom rope. Commentary talk about Harris’ credentials, the massive “Road to Royalty” victory in 2023 and his amazing feud with Eddy Kent….he came within seconds of defeating Marty Helms for the world title and arguably should be won the Elimination Chamber if the referee had realized Kent’s shoulders were on the mat. But the fact remains he has never held a singles title in pro wrestling, something Mike Masters is keen to remind him. Can Harris break the curse?

*The lights dim now as the giant “Scarecrow” mask appears on the big screen before Clarke James enters the fray. Perfect Execution are nowhere to be seen but JT is sure they are ready and waiting if they are needed. RJ isn’t as sure on that….he thinks James will want to do this alone and that Perfect Execution are not here to do CJ’s bidding, rather they are here under their own volition, bonded by the same goal to run roughshod over the company. Clarke James stands at the base of the ring for over a minute and just stares up at Scott Harris before finally removing his mask. His dark eyes are locked on target as he climbs up into the ring now. Scott Harris is moving from side to side, ready for the battle ahead of him. The referee checks both men over for concealed weapons (no railroad spike in sight) before giving the signal to start the contest.

*It’s a tense opening as Clarke James tries to remain cagey whilst Harris looks for a wrestling opening. They lockup and James immediately applies a headlock but Harris lifts him off the floor. CJ drops back on his feet and looks for a hip throw but Harris remains standing and he adjusts his hands around the waist of James and nails a German suplex. James grabs at the ropes as they get up but Harris pulls him away and throws him again into a second suplex. Harris wants the hat-trick but Clarke slams his head back into Harris’ face, stunning him. James breaks free and immediately looks for the “Faithless” (Rock Bottom) but Harris adjusts and counters with a t-bone suplex for a two count.

*Harris drags CJ up and nails a snap suplex before heading for the corner. He signals for the frogsplash but is forced to transition into a forward roll when CJ moves out the way. Harris gets back up and sprints forward but James sidesteps him and sends him off the ropes before nailing a spinebuster for a two count. James rakes his boot into Harris’ face and then drops an elbow across the bridge of the nose. Harris rolls onto all fours as James punts him in the ribcage and then he runs the ropes and returns with another punt which sends Harris rolling under the bottom rope. James climbs out after Harris and runs him head-first into the ringpost before smashing his head off the top of the steel steps. Harris is on unsteady legs and staggers toward the announce area, resting across the tables. CJ looks around at the audience and then he grabs a camera cord and he wraps it around Harris’ throat, choking him. We are reminded again that it is “No DQ” so anything goes.

*Harris is on his knees, catching his breath, as Clarke James grabs a steel chair from the timekeeper’s area. The referee tries to get involved but James scares him off with threats. Harris is able to get up and drive a boot into CJ’s gut and then explodes with an overhead throw which sends James bouncing across the concrete floor. Harris is up now and looks pumped. He beckons James up and hauls him across the floor again with a release German suplex before throwing him back into the ring. James is clearly hurting, holding the bottom of his spine, as Harris leaps onto the top rope and dives into a crossbody for a two count. Harris circles his opponent now and waits for him to rise before leaping in for the “Codebreaker” but CJ leans out and sends Harris into the canvass before bridging over the top of him for a two. Harris bridges back out and he swings free of James’ grip and lifts him onto his shoulders before nailing a modified backbreaker as he drops to his knees, driving his shoulders up into CJ’s back.

*Harris underhooks James’ arms now and flips him out into another backbreaker across his knee and now he is heading up top once more. Harris is oozing confidence as he steadies himself on the top and leaps into a frogsplash but James drives his knees up and transitions into a cradle cover for a very close two. Both men get back to their feet and James pokes Harris in the eyes and then drags him into a piledriver. He rolls out onto the apron and planchas back in across the prone body of Scott Harris before heading to the corner. The crowd are boing furiously as James glares at them which allows Harris to get up and sprint up the corner before nailing a huge belly to belly takedown from on high. Harris spits as he gets up and then he drills Clarke James with a codebreaker. He covers and thinks he has the three but James just manages to kick out.

*Harris talks to himself and tries to keep composure. He grabs James’ legs for the sharpshooter but James rakes at his eyes and sends him staggering away. James runs at Harris but is backdropped over the top rope onto the apron. James lands on his feet and he reaches over to grab Harris’ head, pulling him down to the mat, before leaping up top and twists off into a corkscrew senton. He hooks the legs but Harris kicks out. Clarke James stares at the referee now and looks murderous. James stomps repeatedly on the head and chest of Harris now, trapping him in the corner, He chokes Harris against the turnbuckle with his boot and then grabs Harris’ legs to guillotine him up into the bottom rope. Harris’ holds his throat and rolls from the ring. James leaps out after him and he reaches inside of his “Scarecrow” mask now to reveal the railroad spike which has become his signature. James follows Harris around the ring and then looks to drive the spike at his head as he turns around but Harris ducks it and he scoops CJ up into a cradle before dropping him, spine first, across the ring apron. Harris pushes James back into the ring and then he suplexes him into the air before releasing him at the top into a backbreaker across both of his knees (ala Roderick Strong). Harris is all fired up after James tries to use the spike on him and he scores with a hat-trick of German suplexes as a “Needs more Harris” chant rings all around.

*Harris grabs James’ legs now and successfully turns him over into the sharpshooter. James is yelling in agony and tries to scramble for the ropes but Harris pulls him back and sits right into the hold. James refuses to quit but it is clear he is in incredible amounts of pain. Again he pulls himself close to the ropes again but it becomes clear he is reaching for the spike on the apron rather than the ropes. He successfully grabs the weapon as Harris pulls him back to the centre again. James is able to twist his body and he drives the spike upward at Harris’ face but SH shows amazing speed to release the submission and catches the hands of James. He then stomps down at CJ’s face (ala Daniel Bryan) before grabbing his legs again. He looks to reapply the submission but CJ is thrashing from side to side. Harris decides to drop back and catapult James instead. CJ ends up squashing the referee in the corner and then staggers back into the “Shot in the Dark” (Angle Slam). The three count is a certainty but there is no referee to make the count.

*Harris looks exasperated as he heads over and tries to revive the referee but to no avail. He signals to the back for another referee and then turns his attention back to Clarke James. James is trying to stand but is on unsteady legs as Harris stalks him. There is a shout from behind and Harris turns to eat a disaster kick off the ropes from Mike Masters. The kick sends Harris straight into Clarke James’ path and he eats the “Faithless”. The referee is groggy but manages to make his way across and makes the prolonged count to complete the three count. Clarke James, despite being on the brink of defeat, has moved into the semi-finals of the FFTR. James leaves the ring and raises his arms as Mike Masters rolls back in and he demands a microphone.

*Masters says he has thought long and hard about it and he has decided to make Scott Harris famous at Night of Glory. This is 10 years in the making and there is no better platform or stage to finish this so he’s throwing down the gauntlet. He says Harris will never be championship material and after the beating he sustains on May 17th there will be no more doubt in anyone’s mind. Masters then waits for Harris to get to a knee and he smashes the mic off his forehead, leaving him sprawled on the canvass.

Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29) Empty Re: Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 8 Apr - 12:51

*Tim Allen wants to get an interview with Max. Max's career is on the line at Night of Glory if he doesn't win the 6WF Championship but now his best friend is involved....Max stops TA and says he hasn't got time to shoot the breeze on all the potential outcomes and the inevitable drama that comes with each one. Max was out, he was done and he was happy, but Genesis dragged him back in....and he'll be damned if Eddy Kent is the man who gets to finish his career....Max says he doesn't care what he has to do and who he has to destroy to make it happen but he will leave Night of Glory as the 6WF Champion. He looks up and sees Chris Patricks staring at him as the scene ends.

*Acer & Saint are preparing for their upcoming tag match. Acer asks why JJ left so early but Saint says he had legal stuff to take care of before heading to the Docks. Acer is concerned and doesn't think JJ should be going alone. Saint agrees but what can they do? They have to be on hand for whatever Exodus have planned....both men agree that JJ should be putting any issues with Blue Dragon on the back burner but Saint says "You know JJ" and Acer retorts "I sure do".....the door to the dressing room is open and we see Clarke James standing outside. He says "As do I" as the scene comes to an end.

*A bloody Logan Kincade returns to his locker-room and finds Edward Plague waiting for him. Kincade thinks about attacking but Plague pleads peace. He saw Logan out there earlier and he has to admit he is impressed by his warrior like tendencies. Plague is playing mindgames with Logan now as he asks him if he has ever truly belonged? And whether he really knows the meaning of family? Because Plague can show him....Plague can help him to hone his power and become so much more....because he knows Dragon will turn on him eventually, they have both admitted as much, but Plague is offering him a reason for existing, a purpose....all he has to do is let him in....Plague stands now and he walks by Logan and stops at his side. He whispers "I can offer you the world and you can do with it as you wish......you are the true Dragon, the mantle belongs to you.....think about it". Logan is left standing, snarling, as Plague exits.

Bout 6
Perfect Execution vs The Coalition

*The commentators are hyping this as “PPV Main Event material” as we get a major recap on the revelation that Perfect Execution are in cahoots with Clarke James last week and the decimation of The Parasite Killers. Back live and there is a rousing reception from the audience as The Saint makes his entrance and is then followed by Acer. The Coalition members high five as we are reminded that JJ Johnson has now left the building and is on his way Liverpool Docks where he will face Blue Dragon. Saint and Acer interact with the fans before they climb up inside the ring.

*Mixed reactions now from the audience for the arrival of Perfect Execution. The fans are clearly happy to see two legends but not impressed by their allegiance and attitude. Perfect Jack & Lex Hart swagger onto the stage as pyros erupt behind them. They look down at their opposition and smirk before beginning to circle the ring. The commentators still aren’t sure why Lex Hart & Perfect Jack would join CJ’s crusade but assume (as they said earlier) that it is all to do with the falsehood that they have never been given enough respect by either 6CW or 6WF. JT reiterates JJ Johnson’s claims that “No way will Lex or PJ become Clarke James’ sidekick….so what have they been promised?”

*PJ & Lex continue to circle the outside and look in no hurry to get the match started as Acer decides to run to the ropes and dives over the top, taking them both out in the aisleway. He staggers back up and slugs it out with Jack until Lex clatters him from behind. They get in a few shots before The Saint spins Lex around and headbutts him in the face. He runs Hart forward and launches him against the ringside barrier as Acer reverses an Irish whip and sends Jack crashing into the steel steps. Saint drags Lex around to the announce area and begins bouncing his head off the top of the desks before spinning him around and chucks him into the ring. He slides in and drives a boot into Hart’s gut before flipping him up for the “Divine Force” but PJ drives in from behind with a chopblock to the back of the knee. Lex and Jack stomp on Saint now before they grab Acer (currently on the apron) and they double hiptoss him over the top and back into the ring. Acer staggers up as Lex lifts him into an inverted atomic drop which sends him backward into a German suplex against the turnbuckle from PJ.

*The referee isn’t even trying to get either team to nominate a legal man and seems happy for the brawl to continue. They double stomp Saint in the corner before whipping him to the opposite turnbuckle. Saint collides but then storms straight back out with a huge double clothesline. Lex is up first and Saint hauls him over the top rope to the outside of the ring before he bench presses Jack into the air and walks to the ropes before launching him out and on top of Lex, drawing huge cheers from the audience. Saint checks on Acer, who is rubbing his neck, and then they both leave the ring to continue the brawl. Acer lifts Lex into a suplex and slams him down, rib first, on the ringside barrier as Saint flips Lex into a powerbomb position and launches him backward against the ringpost. RJ believes this is a message from The Coalition that Perfect Execution will sorely regret aligning themselves and adopting Clarke James’ war.

*Saint and Acer nod at each other as they remove the coverings off of one of the announce tables and then they drag Lex Hart over. They prepare for a double suplex into a front slam through the table but Perfect Jack is back on his feet and he has a steel chair. He drives the chair into Saint’s gut, forcing him to drop Lex, and then he swings and smashes the weapon right over Acer’s head, opening up a cut in the hairline. Saint comes back around and he punches the chair into Jack’s face, staggering him into the ring apron, but then Lex Hart charges in behind Saint and pushes him, head first, into the solid steel ringpost. Saint staggers and drops on his knees as PJ comes around with the chair and smashes it across Saint’s spine. Perfect Execution are looking as deadly as ever right now and RJ believes that spells serious trouble for The Coalition.

*Jack and Lex turn their attention back to the bloodstained Acer now. They pull him up onto the “Spanish” announce table and they deliver a horrific looking spiked piledriver on top. The table doesn’t break but Acer topples off the side and slumps on the floor behind the desk, leaving a huge blood smear on the wood. Lex then points back to The Saint and they drag him up and haul him into the ring. Saint stumbles up as Lex kicks him in the stomach and looks for the “Canadian Destroyer” but Saint swipes his legs and catapults him straight into PJ, sending Jack through the ropes onto the apron. Lex staggers around and Saint drills him with a jackhammer in the middle of the ring. He makes the cover but Jack recovers in time to break the pinfall. Jack drags Saint up and lashes chops at his chest, reddening the skin, before attempting an Irish whip but Saint turns inside and drags PJ into a pop-up “Divine Force”. He makes the pin and a three count looks imminent until Lex dives across and breaks it up. The commentators remark on The Saint showing incredible fight (a five time world champion incase you were wondering).

*Saint is up now and he pummels Lex against the turnbuckle and then circles around before running back in with a huge clothesline. He lifts Lex up on the ropes and then climbs up with him. Saint is preparing for a superplex when PJ rushes in and lands a horrific low blow. Jack then shows his own strength to lift Saint off the ropes into an electric chair position before Lex dives off and lands a “Doomsday Device” variation. Saint is clutching at his neck and looks in a bad way as Lex runs at him and delivers the “Canadian Destroyer”. He hooks both legs but Acer dives into shot and scuppers the pin. PJ immediately kicks Acer in the face and he drags him up for the “Perfect Plex” but Acer spins free and nails a “downward spiral”. Lex runs over and lands a knee to the stomach as Acer stands before attempting a sambo suplex but Acer elbows his way free. Lex runs back in but Acer uses his momentum to lift him up and flapjack him against the turnbuckle before waistlocking him into a rolling chaos theory suplex. Acer drinks in the reception of the crowd, chanting his name, as he gets to his feet once more and he beckons Lex up before pulling him in place for the “Powerbomb Piledriver” (Barry White Driver). Perfect Jack is back up and he drives against the back of Acer’s leg with yet another chopblock.

*Jack rolls from the ring and he drags Acer’s legs to the ringpost and crotches him before applying a figure four around the post. Acer is yelling in agony as PJ continues to up the pressure. Lex sits down behind Acer now and applies a chokehold at the same time. The referee is trying to get Acer to give up but he refuses despite the mass amounts of pain he is currently suffering. Saint stumbles back to his feet and he drops a leg across Lex’s throat to break the chokehold before he rolls out of the ring and stomps on Perfect Jack’s head to free Acer completely. Saint drags PJ up off the floor now and he flips him into a powerbomb position before launching him over the barricade and into the front row of the audience. RJ is anticipating a “battle for the ages” when we reach Night of Glory if this preview is anything to go by.

*Saint rolls back in the now and he waits for Lex to get up before ripping through him with a huge spear. The crowd are on their feet and applauding as Saint raises an arm in the Coalition Salute and then turns his attention back on Hart. He is just pulling him up into position for the “Promised Slam” when Clarke James dives in the ring and delivers a kick right between the legs from behind. Saint is doubled up and the crowd are booing furiously as James spins Saint around now and he drills him with “Faithless” on the canvass. James rolls from the ring now and he returns with rope, which he subsequently uses to bind each of Saint’s arms to the ropes. Saint is coming to and trying to break free but the knots are far too tight. James is smiling now, his black eyes glinting with malice.

*Acer is back up and he attacks Clarke James from behind but Lex has a steel chair and he rams it into Acer’s gut, driving all the wind out of him. Perfect Jack is back in the fray now and looks annoyed. Saint is trying to kick out at Exodus and free himself from his bindings but to no avail. The commentators remind us that JJ Johnson has left the building and all of a sudden things are not looking too good for Acer & The Saint. Acer is down on his knees as Lex slams the chair down on the mat and then he runs the ropes and returns with a “Canadian Destroyer” which crushes Acer’s head on the steel. Jack grabs the crumpled chair now and he wraps it around the leg of Acer before applying an excruciating figure four leglock. Acer is yelling in pain as Clarke James just continues to stare at Saint. JT believes this is the clearest message that has been sent thus far by Exodus. Lex Hart has climbed from the ring now and he grabs a second steel chair before rolling back in. He looks over at Saint and smirks before waiting for Acer’s head to drop on the canvass before he smashes the chair against it, causing even more blood to flow and rendering Acer unconscious in the process. Saint spits in frustration and Lex sees red but CJ steps in front of him. Lex and Clarke look at each other for a moment before Lex hands over the chair. CJ takes it and sets it up before sitting down in front of The Saint.

*CJ points at Acer’s bloody, unconscious, form and he begins talking to Saint. Telling him that they are not dissimilar and that JJ Johnson has always believed himself better. Even tonight he ran away and left his friends all alone after they returned to fight his war. Is that a true friend? Is that what a leader does? We hear CJ say “Think about it….I don’t want to shed any more blood than I have to”. He produces the railroad spike now and he points it at Saint’s face, running it up his cheek toward his eye, before backing away to join Lex Hart & Perfect Jack. The three members of Exodus admire their handiwork as the crowd boo in disgust before they leave the ring and head backstage. Saint is screaming for someone to cut him loose and then he rushes over to check on the condition of Acer before the medical team arrive. Saint stares at the entranceway now, Exodus having just disappeared, and he snarls with fury.

Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29) Empty Re: Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 8 Apr - 13:03

*Daniel Reilly is being interviewed by Clarissa as we return backstage. Reilly shoulders the European belt and he tells Clarissa that tonight he finally puts Dicey Reilly in his place and answers any age old questions about who the better man really is. Reilly is guaranteeing victory. Dicey interrupts and he goes nose to nose with Reilly. He says he'd hoped his rival would have got the message in 2009 when he whooped his a55 time and again but here they are, fifteen years later, ready for history to repeat itself. Dicey looks at the European Championship on Reilly's shoulder and then tells him not to worry because after he wins tonight his focus will be on using the FFTR to become world champion again....but then again he might just take Reilly's title for the craic. Reilly tells Dicey that it'll be over his dead body to which Dicey replies "It can be arranged"

*Scene change and we see an irate Saint storming into the backstage area in search of Exodus but we see the black van screeching away from the arena. Alex Walker is standing there as Saint grabs him by the scruff of the neck and wants to know where Exodus have gone but Walker has no clue. Saint shoves Walker to the floor now and tells him he created Exodus and he'll die with them at Night of Glory. Saint leaves as we hear footsteps and Alex Walker looks up to see Eddy Kent standing there. Kent shakes his head at Walker and leaves.

Bout 7
Fight for the Right
Daniel Reilly vs Dicey Reilly

*RJ & JT are waxing lyrical for the next contest and declaring it “Night of Glory” worthy. The crowd are making one hell of a noise as Daniel Reilly makes his entrance. The European Champion readjusts his title belt on his shoulder and sneers at the crowd as he makes his way to the ring and rolls in via the bottom rope. Reilly stands in the middle of the ring and he raises the title belt up in the air as the audience boo him. Reilly then fixes his gaze over toward the entranceway as the crowd erupt for the arrival of Dicey Reilly. The commentators remind us of the ongoing issues between the two “6CW Originals”, stemming back “15 years” and coming back to the forefront in the last couple of months. Reilly has a look of hatred on his features now as Dicey interacts with the audience and then leaps up on the apron.

*This is a FFTR Quarter Final bout and the winner is set to meet Rex Adamson in the next round. The two former world champions have both been in fine form over the last few months but they have only met once since 6CWF reopened with Dicey picking up the W. Dicey and Reilly trash talk one another as the referee stays in between them both to try and keep the peace. The bell sounds and Dicey immediately swings a huge right hand to rock Reilly back on his heels. He follows up with several more before he whips the Euro Champ across the ring and sends him skyward with a huge backdrop. Reilly staggers back up and Dicey nails a clothesline which sends him over the top rope and crashing into the announce desks. Reilly looks angered and considers leaving but seems to realize what is at stake. He circles the ring now and yells at the referee to keep Dicey at bay. He eventually gets back in and they look to engage in a lockup but Reilly tries for a sneaky kick….Dicey catches his foot and spins him around before dropping him with another right hand. Reilly stumbles up and Dicey whips him into the corner before chasing in for a splash, only to eat a back elbow for his troubles. Reilly lifts himself onto the second rope and then leaps off for an axe handle but Dicey drives a boot into his gut. He drags Reilly in for the “Craicdown” but Reilly suddenly drops and pulls Dicey’s legs out from under him before applying the anklelock.

*Dicey is yelling in pain and there is surprise all around that he has been caught out so early by the submission. He pushes his hands into the canvass and rolls forward to send Reilly crashing against the turnbuckle and then rolls him up for a two. They scramble back up and Reilly leapfrogs over Dicey and then immediately tries to nail the RKO but Dicey puts the brakes on and shoves him off the ropes before leaping into a Lou Thesz press as he comes back. Dicey pummels away and then he lifts himself onto the second rope and drops a fist before covering for a two. Dicey nods his head as the crowd chant his name and then he drags him back up into a front facelock and prepares for a brainbuster. Reilly floats over the back and counters with an inverted headlock backbreaker (ala Orton). Reilly follows up with a leaping kneedrop to the face and covers for a two.

*Reilly drags Dicey up and hits him with a big vertical suplex and then points up high. He makes his way to the corner and launches himself through the air for a frogsplash but ends up crashing across the knees of Dicey. Dicey stumbles back up and he lifts Reilly into a crushing uranage backbreaker and hooks the leg to get a two count. Dicey is feeling it now and he drags Reilly up and flips him for a running powerbomb but Reilly rolls down the back and then pulls Dicey’s leg out from under him before applying another anklelock, this time grapevining the free leg. Dicey is in a whole world of agony now and it looks like he may quit (not sure he ever has?) but Dicey shows his warrior instincts to survive and drag himself to the safety of the ropes.

*Reilly releases the hold but then stomps down on Dicey’s ankle again and again, aggravating the damage he has already done. He places Dicey’s foot on the ropes and then leaps into the air to drive all of his bodyweight down on the appendage. The referee tries to intervene but Reilly shoves him away and reminds him “There’s no damn dqs”. Reilly rolls from the ring and he drags Dicey’s leg over toward the ringpost to inflict more pain but Dicey pulls back and drags Reilly’s face into the solid post. Dicey rolls from the ring now, hobbling on his ankle, and he lifts Reilly up before belly to belly slamming him (ala Ken Shamrock) on the solid arena floor.

*Dicey stomps his foot on the ground to show he is good, drawing cheers from the crowd, and then he drags Reilly up and smashes his head off the ringside barrier. He repeats the process all around the ringside, displaying Reilly’s bruised face to the delighted audience, before chucking him back into the ring. Dicey then drags himself up onto the apron and he waits for Reilly to rise before catapults himself over the top into a shoulder block takedown. Dicey ushers Reilly up and scoops him onto his back for the “White Noise” (Back to belly piledriver) but Reilly rolls down the back for a cover that gains two. Back up and Dicey sends spray from Reilly’s mouth with a huge European uppercut before decimating him with a brainbuster for another two.

*Dicey grabs Reilly by the head now and he drags him into position for the “Craicdown” but Reilly kicks his legs repeatedly and refuses to be lifted. He succeeds in backdropping Dicey now and then he runs the ropes for more momentum but when he returns he is popped up into a powerslam position before Dicey throws him outward and backward so that he crashes on his spine. Dicey has the crowd on their feet as the legend makes his way to the corner now and climbs up. He isn’t the steadiest but eventually he reaches the top until Reilly shoves the referee into the ropes which causes Dicey to crotch himself up top. Reilly climbs up now and lands a solid European uppercut before attempting a superplex. He cannot, however, budge Dicey and the Irishman fires huge shots to the midsection before he steps inside and is able to scoop Reilly on his back before leaping off to the canvass below with a “White Noise” (Back to belly piledriver). He makes the cover and is certain of the three but Reilly places his boot on the bottom rope at the very last minute.

*Dicey is clearly frustrated in himself as he gets back onto his feet. He takes a deep breath as he watches Reilly crawling into the corner and slumping down. Dicey then charges in for the “Hangover Cure” knee strike but Reilly throws himself under the bottom rope as Dicey collides and seems to aggravate his ankle in the process. Reilly is back on the apron and he leaps over the top and stomps down on the side of Dicey’s ankle as he lands before applying the submission for the third time in the match. Dicey’s face is a picture of concentration as he tries to block out the pain and make the scramble for the ropes. He gets within an inch before Reilly drags him back to the centre and ups the ante. Dicey looks on the verge of tapping out but then summons the last of his strength to flip forward and bring Reilly down toward him into a pinning combination for a two.

*They both rush back up and Reilly looks for the RKO but Dicey pushes him away to the turnbuckle. Dicey chases in but Reilly drops his shoulder and backdrops him over onto the apron. Dicey lands on his feet and he drives through the middle rope with a shoulder thrust but Reilly catches his head. First he nails a heatseeker style DDT (ala MJF) which leaves Dicey sprawled on the ropes and then he drags him all the way through and drops his foe with a hangman’s DDT (ala Orton). He hooks the legs and he holds up his fingers in order to count along with the referee but Dicey kicks out, much to the crowd’s delight and Reilly’s violent chagrin.

*Reilly stomps at Dicey again and again, keeping him grounded and targeting all parts of his body. He then climbs from the ring and he grabs the Euro belt before rolling back in. He yells at Dicey to get up and then swings the belt at his head but Dicey ducks it and kicks Reilly in the stomach. He prepares for the “Craicdown” but Reilly swipes his legs and then catapults him into the turnbuckle. Dicey staggers around and Reilly flips him up into a fallout neckbreaker, the back of Dicey’s head landing on the title belt. Reilly heads for the corner now and launches himself into the frogsplash. He hooks the leg with a big grin on his face but Dicey once again delights the Liverpool audience by kicking out with a millisecond to go.

*JT thinks we may be watching the match of 2024 this far and the crowd are certainly in agreement. Reilly is on his knees and almost pleading with the referee but the official is adamant it was a two count. Reilly goes into full slither and stalk mode now as he waits for Dicey to get up and he attempts the RKO but it is countered into a backslide for a two count. They both scramble up again and Reilly leaps into the air for a hurricanrana but Dicey shows real strength to catch him in mid-jump and powerbombs him back into the turnbuckle. Reilly staggers forward and Dicey goes for the “Craicdown” again but Reilly swipes his legs and this time he bridges over the top. The referee slides down to make the count and doesn’t realise someone is holding Dicey’s legs down from the outside of the ring.

*There is uproar from the audience as the three count is completed and Reilly snatches the European Championship and immediately rolls from the ring to join the returning, jubilant, Oliver Keane. Keane and Reilly hug, both grinning broadly, as we see the replays again. Oliver Keane came from under the ring apron, his right hand with a protective cast on after Clarke James’ attack, and he seizes hold of Dicey’s legs to keep him from kicking out during the pin. Back live and Dicey is on his knees, looking livid, as Reilly hugs Keane again and they laugh as they turn back in Dicey’s direction. JT calls it “Bull(beep)” whilst RJ cannot believe such a fantastic match has been marred by controversy. Daniel Reilly has the W over Dicey and is heading into the semi-finals of the FFTR tournament. The commentary team are not convinced we have seen the last of this and that Dicey will want retaliation for what went down. JT, however, believes Reilly is going to be even more formidable now he has Keane back alongside him, there is no doubting that the two of them are quite the duo.

*Chris Patricks is just finishing getting ready when he looks up into the doorway and sees Max Adamson. Max says "About earlier" but Patricks waves him off and says he understands completely. Max's career is on the line, it is do or die and he would expecting nothing less. Max tells CP he is going out to ringside with him. Patricks says "You don't have to" but Max dismisses him. The two friends shake hands as the scene ends.

*The commentators inform us that Clarke James vs Liam Wood & Daniel Reilly vs Rex Adamson are our FFTR semi-finals. Reilly and Oliver Keane swagger backstage and are full of it as they take over the mic from Clarissa. Reilly reiterates that he is better than Dicey and he proved it here tonight. He claims nothing can stop him from winning the FFTR now. They laugh and exit the scene as Dicey storms in view. Clarissa merely points him in the direction of his rival as Dicey stares at her and nods in thanks.

*Eddy Kent climbs out of the Genesis Express and is ready for battle. Rex, Roth and Sweetwater jump off after him but Kent holds up a hand. He tells them "Daddy's got this" and swaggers off toward Gorilla as the Genesis members look at one another. Rex shakes his head and tells the other two to "get ready".

Bout 8
Chris Patricks vs Eddy Kent

*Chris Patricks is entering the ringside area as we return to the action. Max Adamson is walking by his friend’s side as the commentators hype the upcoming match and the potential ramifications as we head into Night of Glory. Max is here to ensure no Genesis’ interference but given that there are no rules in any of tonight’s bouts he may have his hands full. Max & Patricks touch knuckles as Adamson heads around toward what remains of the announce area. Patricks leaps up inside of the ring to await the arrival of his opponent.

*Eddy Kent arrives. The 6WF Champion is alone as he walks around the ring and stands right in front of Max. He raises the championship in the air and we hear him say “He (pointing at CP) can’t help you at Night of Glory….remember that….he’s your enemy too….because unless you win this, you’re finished…..and I promise you, you will never take this from me”.

*The crowd pop as Chris Patricks suddenly runs to the ropes and he cartwheels into a moonsault over the top which wipes out Eddy Kent, leaving him sprawled at Max’s feet. Patricks winks at Max as he drags Kent back up and slams his head off the top of the steel steps. Kent stumbles away and rests against the ringside barrier as Patricks pulls himself up on the apron and then twists off into a legdrop (ala RVD). Patricks shakes off the pain in his leg from impact as he hauls Kent up and chucks him into the ring so the match can finally begin. Patricks planchas over the top into a rolling splash on Kent. Kent stumbles up in the corner as Patricks runs in for a monkey flip but Kent catches him and tries to dump him over the ropes. CP lands on the apron and he drives a kick over the top rope into Kent’s head, staggering him, and then he catapults over into a tornado DDT for a two count.

*Patricks runs out from the corner for a somersault neckbreaker but Kent sidesteps him and nails an inverted headlock backbreaker and then pushes CP into the ropes and scoops him onto his shoulders as he comes back. Kent wants a rolling fireman’s carry but Patricks rolls down the back and pulls him into a pinning combo for a two count. They scramble back up and Patricks aims a roundhouse kick but Kent ducks it and then leaps up to wrap his legs for the “Kentlock”. Patricks drops to his knees under the weight of Kent and Max is waving to the official to indicate Patricks’ legs are under the ropes but there are no rope breaks.

*Kent is staring at Max and grinning as he continues to try and choke Patricks unconscious. Patricks is able to pull himself under the bottom rope. He lands on his feet but then collapses and that allows him to slam Kent into the arena floor and break the submission. Patricks crawls to the ringside barrier and drags himself up as Kent rises and drives a kick into his ribs. He looks to whip Patricks into the steel steps but CP leaps ontop of them and then moonsaults backward into a takedown as the crowd go wild. Patricks signals he wants rolling thunder on the outside but Kent drives his knees up into the spine at the final second. The world champion stumbles back to his feet and he watches Patricks rest his head against the ringpost before sprinting over and crushing his head against the solid steel.

*Kent throws Patricks back in the ring and then clambers up the turnbuckle. He mocks the crowd and then launches into the “Kent Bomb” but Patricks moves at the final second. CP nails rolling thunder on the second attempt and then drags Kent closer to the corner and scores with a split-legged moonsault which gets him a very close two. Patricks gets a thumbs up from Max as he ushers Kent up and tries to lift him into an “Enigma Bomb” but Kent drops out and slams a knee into Patricks’ gut. He pulls CP in close for the “Mic Check” but Patricks elbows his way free. Patricks springs off the ropes now and lands a headscissors takedown. Kent staggers up in the corner and Patricks hits him with a shining wizard before dragging him out and nails a brainbuster. CP kneels and points at the ropes as the crowd go wild.

*Patricks heads for the corner and has “Puzzle Solver” in mind as Michael Sweetwater and Tyler Roth appear on the stage. Max Adamson makes his way round to the aisleway to block off their path to the ring but Patricks is distracted long enough for Kent to get up and slam a forearm smash into his jaw. Kent climbs onto the turnbuckle now and scores with a top rope rolling fireman’s carry. He grins as he makes the cover but Patricks delights the audience by finding a way to kick out. Kent looks agitated now as he gets back to his feet and he demands Patricks rise. He beckons him up and then launches from the corner for the “Genesis” kick but Patricks dodges and nails the “Enigma Bomb” only for Kent to kick out.

*Sweetwater tries to blindside Max on the outside but Adamson blocks his punch and nails three of his own before running Sweetwater down to the ring and smashes him into the ring apron. Tyler Roth springs into action now and he clatters Max from behind and then rams a huge knee into his stomach. Roth pulls Max into position for “The Reaping” (Back suplex into a powerbomb) but Max spins out the back and he sends Roth crashing, head-first, into Sweetwater. Roth staggers back around and Max nails him into the front row of the audience with a “Cyclone”. Sweetwater is stumbling up near the steel steps as Max ploughs him through them with the “Gore”.

*Patricks is trying to pull Eddy Kent up but receives a blatant low blow for his troubles. Kent rolls from the ring now and he waits for Max to rise from the floor before he lays him out with the “Genesis Kick”. Kent is smirking as he drags Max up and throws him into the ring. The referee looks confused as Kent yells “I’m stacking these b1tches, same way I will at Night of Glory”. He ushers Patricks to his feet now and storms at him for a second “Genesis Kick” but Patricks catches his foot and spins him around before nailing a step-up enzeguiri. Patricks bounces off the ropes now and nails a somersault neckbreaker (ala Ace Austin) before heading for the corner. The crowd are ready for the “Puzzle Solver” but Rex is on the apron and he shoves Patricks off the turnbuckle into a guillotine across the top rope.

*Rex is in the ring now and he has the 6WF title belt. He runs forward to strike Patricks but Patricks ducks at the last minute and Rex runs through Eddy Kent. Rex stumbles around as Patricks superkicks him into Max and Max nails the “Cyclone” over the ropes. Patricks up top and scores with the “Puzzle Solver” for the three count. CP just knocked off the 6WF Champion weeks before Night of Glory. Patricks has his arm raised in victory now as he looks down at the 6WF Championship on the mat. Max is standing there as well and he too is staring at the gold. The two friends then stare at one another with Eddy Kent and the championship gold in between them.

Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29) Empty Re: Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29)

*Alex Walker is sat alone in his office pouring himself a glass of whiskey, which he downs in one. He stares at a photo of the original Genesis and leans back in his chair. He takes a deep breath and pours himself another drink.

*Scott Harris is on hand with Jack Reynolds and it's real simple. The challenge that Mike Masters issued for Night of Glory is accepted. No ifts, buts or maybes. This has been a decade in the making at it ends at Night of Glory IX

*Eddy Kent is having his nose tended to by a medic when Rex walks in. Rex opens his mouth to apologise but Kent silences him. Because it was an accident, a mistake, and mistakes can happen to anyone. And Kent knows Rex didn't mean it. He also knows that, when the time is right, Rex will do whatever it takes to make it right and make it up to Kent, no questions asked. Whatever it takes. Rex looks at the 6WF Champion and then nods his head as the scene ends.

*The commentary team announce that Uryu Ishida will be in charge of next week's show and that the Fight for the Right Semi-Finals will take place. We then get confirmation that Enforcer vs Robin Reborn & Mike Masters vs Scott Harris are official for Night of Glory IX. A huge announcement is also imminent in regards to the Xtreme Championship.

Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29) Empty Re: Blue Dragon & Logan Kincade Present "Proving Grounds" Results - April 8th 2024 (Episode 29)

Main Event
Fight Pit Rules
Blue Dragon vs JJ Johnson

*We see JJ Johnson’s car heading toward the Docks when a black van pulls up in front of it, blocking his path. JJ slams on the brakes and he stares ahead, smirking, before he reaches for a steel chain from the footwell. JJ begins to wrap the chain around his hand as the side doors of the van open and Lex Hart, Perfect Jack and Clarke James climb out. JJ nods his head as he exits his vehicle to confront his enemies. The four men just stare at one another for a long moment and then JJ beckons them forward as they clash on the gravel and dirt. JJ slams a punch into PJ’s head and staggers him before turning him around and clattering his head off the bonnet of his car as Lex Hart stamps on the back of JJ’s knee and then grabs his leg and drags him to the floor before punting him in the side of his head.

*JJ scrambles on the floor and he kicks Lex’s knees out from under him before clambering on top to drive vicious hammerfists down into his skull as Perfect Jack comes back around and runs into JJ’s head with a brutal knee that knocks Johnson across the floor and in the direction of Clarke James. James looks, for a moment, as though he won’t do anything but he quickly grabs JJ and pulls him up into the open side doorway of the van before he slams the door repeatedly against JJ’s body. JJ slumps down in a seated position now, blood trickling from his lip, as Lex Hart runs forward and almost buries his foot through JJ’s face, snapping his head back into the doorway of the van. JJ is seeing stars now as PJ grabs both of his legs and pulls him away from the van, so JJ is flat on his back on the dirt path. PJ drops on top of JJ and lands ten unanswered punches to his face, busting his nose and lip as well as opening a deep cut along the eyebrow of Johnson. Jack finally stands and he spits down next to JJ as he stands side by side with Lex Hart and Clarke James.

*JJ, coated in blood, can barely open his eyes but he manages to look up at his attackers and focuses on Clarke James. We hear him say “Finish it then fool….this is what you wanted” but James smiles, perhaps for the first time in awhile, as he drops to a knee next to JJ and pulls his head close. We hear him whisper “I’m going to make you watch as I destroy anything and anyone you ever cared about….then I’ll finish it, you have my word”. CJ shoves JJ down into the dirt again as he and Lex, PJ clamber back into the van and it drives away. JJ is left battered and bloody as the sun sets over the Docks.

*The scene now changes and we are inside “The Pit”. The camera sweeps closer and we see through a broken window that there's an old boxing ring in the centre of the room. Surrounded by men, smoking, drinking, some sniffing at white powder from the back of their hands, a few drinking from flasks swallowing down what looks to be a very heavy drink. Infront of the crowd there's a set of guard rails. Crudely put together, the type usually used for roadworks. And around the ring, in place of ropes there's large steel fences, welded together at the ring posts, along the top of these, razor wire. There's broken glass littering the ringside and some inside the ring. Blue Dragon strides out now and looks ready for war. He pushes the “patrons” aside as he climbs up inside of the ring. BD has no clue what has gone down with JJ & Exodus outside as he paces from side to side. He looks to the outside where one of his “henchmen” shakes his head in indication that Johnson hasn’t showed up. Dragon almost sneers in disgust as the dim lighting begins to flicker on and off. It continues to do for nearly a minute before it turns off completely and we hear someone singing “He’s got the whole world in his hands”.

*The lights come back on and all of Dragon’s “patrons” have disappeared and have been replaced by a multitude of people wearing “Plague” masks. They are on every side of the building as the singing continues and Dragon turns from one side to the other. BD doesn’t show any intimidation but it is clear that he is expecting the worst. The lights flicker more and more now as the singing grows louder from the gathered crowd before the room is plunged into darkness for a second time. When the lights come back up Edward Plague is standing in the ring behind Dragon. Dragon spins around as Plague drives his hand into his mouth and lifts him off the floor with an incredible mandible slam. Plague’s eyes are alive with malice as he pulls Dragon’s “Gauntlet” glove off his hand and he places it on his own before he drives a sickening punch into BD’s jaw as he tries to stand. Plague sits next to Dragon now and we hear him saying “I must do what I have to in order to protect my family….to keep the wolves from the door….because to me, family is everything and I can rely on mine in an hour of need….but can you?”

*Plague smiles as Dragon staggers up and then drives into him and rushes him to the corner. He slams huge shoulder thrusts into Plague’s stomach and then drags him into the centre for the “Deathnote” but Plague rakes at the eyes of Dragon and falls out on his feet before crushing him with the “Purifier” (Omega Driver) which slams Dragon’s head down onto a heap of broken glass, cutting into BD’s flesh. Plague holds his hands out wide now as one of his “disciples” throws in a rope laced with barbed wire. Plague twirls the deathtrap in his hands before he begins wrapping around the neck of Blue Dragon.

*We hear a huge banging noise coming from the doorway and he it continues as Plague pulls Dragon to his feet and he launches him over the top rope. We see Dragon kicking his legs and struggling against the restraint around his neck as the barbs cut into his flesh. The doors fly open now and we see Logan Kincade rushing to the aid of his brother. Kincade hauls Dragon onto the apron so that the rope can be removed. Edward Plague has disappeared from the ring and seems to be somewhere in the shadows as we can still hear him singing “He’s got the whole world in his hands”. The show ends with Dragon sitting on the apron, blood running down his neck, as he and Kincade stare into the shadows where Plague has now vanished.
