First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing pictures of Doug Howlett above the bar!

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Got that wonderful text from Stag about looking like a boiled shoite. Made for a good laugh when I first woke up.

Who here isn't going to any part of the Big Meet?

Hope Gibbo and Mrs Gibbo manage to get across - watching some wild and woolly weather out in the Channel as I type. And will I still have a roof when I get home on Monday? Best of luck with the rest of today's travel Stag.

Have they not arranged any alternative travel?

The best thing I can think of at short notice is the rail and sail.

Have to leave work because i'm sick, and none of the real time bus information is working, so i've to go and stand in the gale force wind and pishing rain and just see what turns up. Horrible buzz.

East coast of Ireland is in the lee of the worst, no? Fly from Dublin before the worst of the weather hits later on, maybe. I wouldn't fancy the Irish Sea even if the ferries are operating. Otherwise, looks like Stag is going to have to wait it out Crying or Very sad Fingers crossed it doesn't come to that.

I am in touch with Stag by text. I am in Belfast today and will be available to pick-up and taxi to any of the NI Airports if required.
I would think his best option is probably London from Dublin and stay/travel with Hughie.

Sad Just spoke to Stag - he's in the Aer Fungus queue (he's already in Dublin, Puma), he's looking at maybe flying to Brum (then train down) or Lahndun (stay with Huggy) as these routes have bigger planes and don't get blown about so much as the "Sopwith Camels" they use on the Cardiff route Crying or Very sad

"just watched the highlights of Saints Scarlets, all of their tries were poxy, this is a winnable game. Fair enough our backs are depleted but we always win our games up front. Let's just hope paulie and axel get the pack fired up and they kick the ****e out of Scarlets."

"Jonathan Davies of the Scarlets talking about the game on Saturday. Yet another example of a home player assuming that the sell-out is driven by the sudden influx of more home support, not the arrival of the Red Army. I hope we stick it right down their throats this Saturday. I really don't care for the Scarlets."

Here are two choice comments, obviously those posting on the scarlets fans forum, are much more level headed Whistle
