Cunning Canaries v AC ALSOAM
2 v 2 Ba x2; Soldado, Farfan Very tightly matched as similar formations and both teams anticipated a lot of what the opposition would do. Ultimatelty, AC dictated the midfield, but Boateng found himself against Baines and Bale too often, with no help from Farfan. They created so many chances from the left that it was impossible for AC to keep them out.
2 v 1 Gerrard - Dempsey, Soldado Gerrard will score a wonder goal from outside the area. Bale is kept quite by Boateng through the game, He isn’t able to get going at any point of the game.
Dempsey cuts inside to beat Richards and works his way into the box to to score the goal. After a deep pass from Kroos, which carves open the defence, catching both Agger and Skrtel off guard and Soldado slots it past Ruddy.
2 v 1 It was a close match but the AC ALSOAM'S left back Alaba was not given enough tactical instructions which hindered Dempsey as he was not helped enough by Alaba when attacking. He dealt with The Ox well but he was of little help when attacking and left Dempsey isolated on the left wing which cost them the match. Also Khedira was given instructions to mark Hoolahan, who was not even in the starting 11 which was confusing.
1 v 2 Soldado X2 , Gerrard Good game for both teams but the strength of ACAL back four was to strong they took an early lead but Gerard managed to score a fantastic free kick to level the game before Soldado snatched the game.

Real Ale Sociedad v The London Silly Nannies
1 v 1 Ozil; Muller Game of the week for me. Really tight affair and ultimately there was no splitting them. I do think Ozil was wasted staying the left hand side. I can see the tactic of taking him away from the DMs, but it also negated one of LSNs strong points. I also question whether Schurrle, Muller and Reus have vast experience of playing together given that they play for 3 separate clubs and won’t have played much together for Germany.
1 v 1 de Jong – Ramirez Throughout the game Real Ale attack very well with their German trio and control most of the game but are unable to break down a well-organised LSN defence. LSN strike first with a counter attack, which Ramirez finishes off. Real Ales goal comes from wide where Rues puts the ball at de Jongs feet who calmly places it into the back of the net.
1 v 1 Both teams cancelled each other out. Sociedads defense mids did a good good restricting LSN. Ambrosini did struggle against the pace of Muller but was helped by the energetic Ramires.
0 v 1 Ozil very good game but ozil manges to score a great goal for LSN , RAS had a few chances but failed to take them.

Borussia Munchingballsack v FC United
2 v 0 Kagawa, Gameiro FCU have plenty of chemistry, but they look like a collection of names squeezed into a formation rather than a team. Neymar and Hulk do not work together whilst Fernandinho was left isolated at DM. Borussia also left Tiote a bit exposed as whilst Sniejder was asked to support him, it is not his natural game and he did not do this effectively. Kagawa and Gameiro worked a treat and won Borussia the game together. I would say that I cannot see a place for Sneijder and Kagawa in the same team
1 v 2 Di Maria - Hulk, Damiao Munching, really struggle without the presence of Llorente upfront this week, Gameiro gives FC Uniteds defence a good going over but is unable to cause any real threat. Di Maria cuts in onto his left foot to curle it around FCU goalkeeper. FCU are too tricky upfront with Hulk scoring the first shortly followed by a good Damiao.
3 v 1 Too attacking formation from FCU cost them. Although FCU had better tactics I feel they played the wrong formation which in turn led to the loss.
1 v 1 Gamiero, Hulk Very good game between the sides Kawaga and gamerio link up well but FCU managed to draw the game level both sides settle for a point.

AFC Swamp Donkeys v Viva City
3 v 4 Cavani 2, Benzema 2; Hamsik 3, Menez "I felt that AFC Swap Donkeys have a lot of attacking flair, which is going to be difficult for most teams to stop. However, there midfield was too attacking and Tymoshuk is not good enough to play that role without help. I felt that AFC Swap Donkeys have a lot of attacking flair, which is going to be difficult for most teams to stop. However, there midfield was too attacking and Tymoshuk is not good enough to play that role without help.
Viva City have a good side and are very well balanced, although I think Menez and Bastos should be on the opposite wings."
0 v 1 Huntelaar A very quite game, the only goal comes from a precise ball from deep by Pirlo to Huntelaar. Both teams defend very well.
0 v 1 I feel both teams are evenly matched but I think Tymoshuk playing DM by himself would not work as his defensive abilities are not good enough for him to play DM by himself and I feel he would need another DM with good defensive abilities to play next to. I also feel that Jose Enrique was given way to less tactical instructions.
2 v 1 Cavani, Benzema - Huntelaar Close game both sides where very attacking but AFCSD managed to steal the win.

Where do people think my side needs improvement?

Alright chaps, I'm away on holiday this week, so have drafted in Gregers to take the reins.

I've instructed him to refute any offers that come my way, so no trying to pull a sly one and rob Kagawa whilst I'm not here!!

Pacquiao was complacent, and suffered the consequences.

Thought he did enough in each round (and probably did) but two judges saw it differently. If he'd given it his all he'd have won.

I would have him at Everton though. He would get in ahead of Seamus Coleman

Nani is compared to Ronaldo because of their similar career paths, but it's unfair as Ronaldo has turned out to be one of the best players in the world in the last few years, whereas Nani is a very good player but not in Ronaldo's class.

I think Nani would be rated higher if Ronaldo didn't exist.

Their style of play when out wide is similar. That is why they can be directly compared.

I agree that Nani probably would be rated higher if it were not for Ronaldo. I would describe Nani as being what Ronaldo was in his early years at United before he suddenly kicked on and became the player he is today.

Did Lavezzi come on as a sub? About 5 minutes through the 2nd half (recorded the 2nd half only) and it doesn't look like he's on.

Hulk been awful, as usual.

Hulk had a strange game, in parts he looked the part but he flits in and out

Neymar looks the real deal to me

Lavezzi comes on late and goes off late!

To be fair, I wouldn't trust either of those defences. Zabaleta looks like the only real competent one.

Mascherano + Esteba kicking the crap out of everyone is funny to watch though.

Brazil look very fragile at the back when they don't have the DMs in front of them to tidy up.

Argentina cut through them at times and should have had more in honesty. Not that Brazil were bad - they dominated parts of the game.

Messi's second goal was my favourite, shredded them with a one-two and a brilliantly composed finish.
