The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub Empty The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub

Post by Guest Thu 23 Jun 2011, 12:56 pm

Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence

So pull up a chair....what'll it be? appletini

The power of Serena. 3 games points down. Gets to deuce. Then breaks to win. Brilliant.

What a second game in the second set.

Halep was 40-15 up, Serena dug in and got to advantage, then played a poor shot to take it back to deuce, then a stunning shot to go advantage up again and forced Halep into an error to take the game and go 2-0 up.

Great tennis.

After a superb first set from Halep, she has just shown a little chink of a weakness this set, and Serena, like the champion she is, is absolutely all over it and raising her game.

She now has 2 break points to go 4-0 up.

Can't believe I missed the donut talk. Having experienced Krispy Kreme and Tim Hortons fresh(yes I'm one of those langers who brags about the things they've done Wink ) I got to plump for Krispy Kreme. Dunkin' Donuts however could take the victory. People wonder why Americans are so fat. When you have at least 5 restaurant chains devoted to donuts(those are ones I can think of!) and a further 23 devoted to frozen deserts (thank you Wikipedia) It's no wonder!

Mick - ace, just a heads up, waiting to hear if my friend is actually getting tickets to a festival in August, if she's not, I might very well be looking to coming to France Smile

Cheers for the updates in the tennis Pete. The Williams sisters are just something else when it comes to a grand slam tournament. Never give up.

If only UK had petrol station delis Munsty. We're culturally miles ahead of them here.

This! They are superb. Don't know why, but when I moved to Scotland aged 11 there were no delis and then, somewhere along the line, Belfast became full of convenience stores with delis. Don't even know how it happened.

Probably at the same time all of those Centra shops sprung up over Belfast overnight.

tis an on going issue in the women's game Notch.

I don't mind the whole screeching stuff if it's actually obvious it's because they're putting in a lot of effort in the shot.

Sharapova is awful because she does it from the off, regardless of the shot's she's making, it drives me nuts.

The Williams sisters are pretty bad at it too, but they tend to only do it at really crucial parts of the match.

Whether it's tactical or not....

does this look any good? (I know very little) it’s €70 which looks like a good price for what I’m getting but I’m not sure…

I’m not sure what the story with a tv is yet.

The ideal situation would be that from my computer I could download straight to an external harddrive and play that movie on my tv without going near my computer. But I think I would need to set up a home network, and I’m not bothered to get into all of that!

This thing seems to do most of that, the only difference being I would download to my pc, transfer it to the player, then play it on my tv…
