Sorry mate, I go by the spreadsheet Players in League tab and he wasn't there when I first looked. I did sign him the next day and didn't think to scroll up to see if he had been signed.

If you want him then happy to take him out my squad. It didn't affect the result so no need to replay it. Just post on my page whether you want him or not, so I know to amend it.

Nah its fine bud, only brought him in to cover this weeks striker injury however I've now signed a LB to play there instead

Well played Bam, deserved win, but what was FIFA doing with my subs!!

3 of my 4 best performing players taken off and finish the game with my LB at CF and my new winger playing at CB!!!

My tactic on subs this week was to put on only defenders as all my best players are attackers, thus eliminating the chance to make changes up top. Didn't work.

My front line was in completely the wrong order from the start of the game. Left winger on the right, midget right winger playing up top and my centre forward stuck out on the left.

Will have to replay it then, it does alter them about for some reason once saved.

Probably won't change much, my team seems to have dropped behind a fair bit!

Oh dear losing to a team without a manager isnt good  Not sure what’s happened to my players shooting seem to be dominating and not scoring, might have just been luck that CHO worked up top a couple games then

Not 100% sure but I think Newport just went joint top with Morecambe and Forest Green

Despite losing thought it was a cracking end to end game v FGR.

Great game Hero, 4 goals in the first 18 minutes with the game swinging from 1-0 to 1-2 to 3-2 within the first half!

A real barnstormer.

Also pleased to see my Ibanez gamble paying off, not so pleased to see my defence fall apart although that was a cracking strike from Gomes

Yeah when I saw you playing your LB upfront I wondered what was going on but his stats don't weaken and he's a cracking all rounder. The League 2 Lahm.

What happened with the corners? I watched the game half asleep last night, the best bit was actually keeping a clean sheet!!

You had a corner, where one of your players came for the short corner.

It wasn't taken short, and as your player went to run back to the box, the corner taker just blasted it into him

It was at some point in the second half

Its not the first time they've had corner issues, one of the other games recently was a short corner and the player receiving the ball ran straight off the pitch with no pressure on him

Just watched it again as have time to kill watching our kids swimming club!

It’s on about 75 mins and noticed this time he blasts it straight at the other guys face. Was up there with the Koscielny crazy horse moment of last season

If you are up against Hero soon, my tactic to beat him appeared to be "pass the ball from defender to goalie over and over until the opposition get bored"

And if the shot had gone in around 77th/78th minute, from the one-touch play, that would have been goal of the season!

What are you basing that on? If its formation at the end of the game, then FIFA will change it in game, when subs are made, making it more attacking/defensive, depending if are winning/losing.

Just how it looked in-game, although it's always hard to tell. If they started off 4-4-1-1, there was no noticeable difference to when they changed to 4-4-2. Would also be strange for the team to change formation when as far as I can tell, it's not happened yet this season.

No its okay. Just wondering as my team regularly finishes in a completely different formation to the one started, including the random one where it ended with 3 at the back and one up front, with the one striker being my starting LB!

So, I got FIFA a couple of weeks ago.

It's because you have to set up five formations. Otherwise you end up in a mess.

Your team has five mentalities:
Ultra Defensive
Defensive
Balanced
Attacking
Ultra Attacking

which have different formations and tactics.

So when you submit your formation, player instructions and tactics, that is for when your team is balanced.

However, as soon as the game decides to put you on a different mentality, everything you've done goes out the window. Often it will go to the team's default, but it's anyone's guess really. As well as that, some of the players end up in strange positions, so you could end up with a CB at LW, a CM at RB and so on.

Basically it's either a case of putting up with it, or submitting five sets of tactics for different scenarios. The second option is way too much work to do though!

Unless anyone can see a way around the system...

Think I remember Hero posting that before and us just saying we will put up with it.

Had this entire problem all season. Trebs way is correct but it doesn't always work out - Hero did it for me on two games and only 1 stayed the formation I wanted.

This week was probably only the second time the formation I have picked has stayed right the way through to the end. I am sure it is when subs are made it tries to place a player in their primary position and shoehorn it into your formation. However as subs are sometimes not like for like exactly, it has to change the formation to accommodate it.

Got used to it now - find it a bit comical

Azzy - the commentator does mention at the start of the game that your team is playing a 4-5-1

What about if you put the same tactics for all 5 of the mentalities.

Not suggesting we do btw as Hero would have to update 5 times more than he already does!

Yep that is what we tried Afro. I have to get Hero to confirm but pretty sure first match worked. The next weeks match didn't.

Bad night for Dons last night with two defeats.

Pleased with our performance. Completely dominated, other than one chance for Dons that hit the woodwork. My midfield noticeably tired towards the end so think I might need to get some more legs in there

My team are useless - 2-0 up in a game I told them to lose. Luckily, we lost 3-2 and no longer have to worry about cups

Need to do the draw for the cup semi finals.
