Front row impressive, not just in the scrum but around the park they look the only forwards who are fronting up
Bar Itoje and Curry.
?? Both have been rag dolled, and are poor ball in hand and at the breakdown!
Curry has been turned over at least once, just not aware at the moment.
Itoje's been great at the lineout but just slow slow, battered at the breakdown.....again. He was hauled off on 69 mins last time, Gats has got to look at a change around 60-65 minute, if we can't crank it up
I would be look seriously at Beard

15 Vs 13 take the scrum not tap.
I'll still coach my players that thanks Gats.

Wyn Jones is off injured now, though. Looks like a shoulder so he should be back for the third test (or is it the Alun that makes the difference). Mako has done OK in his first scrum, surprisingly.
The Lions have looked very inept. The first support line is OK, but they’re not piling in after a break, they’re not fast enough to the breakdown, they’re not playing with a clear pattern or creativity and they’ve got no answer to the rush defence. Sinckler has been their best distributor.

Well Vunipola was hanging onto the SA maul at the back for about five secondsbefore Peyper told him to move, that is too late, by then he has bought enough time for the maul to be pulled open and the Lions to come through the middle.

Fair play to Curry, he's come out like he knows he has something to prove! Much better first 10 from him

Decent chase from LRZ there.
And the attrition continues - Anthony Watson looks in a bad way

Depends on how he ended up there eg if the maul spun around - but as I've said Peyper is poor ...

Disagree heavily, lots of bad stuff first half, but 14 into the 2nd he's doing a great Hamish Watson impression and is involved in everything good!

You need to watch it again then as you're seeing things that aren't there.

I'm with Nigel owens, LRZ is ground with the ball out front, it's not placement originally, he then places it quickly, I think that's a try

Re: South Africa 'A' v British & Irish Lions, 14 July
They didn't check properly to see whether it hit the line as they'd already decided (incorrectly) it was a double movement at that point - the double movement came when he pulled the ball back again but if he did reach the line it was a try.

Back row has looked better since Simmonds has come on. Thought Faletau had a walk in to the tests but he's taken his Bath form in.
