Cracked my 2014 duck last night. Amazing what an overly priced dinner at the pub can do to women.

Are you trying to tell us you have not had sex for the last seven months Sean? Jesus, how lacking in charm are you? Even as classless and graceless an oaf as myself is not on such a barren spell.

Yep. I could say it was for Tony Thompson reasons (hip replacement) but in truth we've probably just been not bothered.
Good meal. I had minute steak and fries with a side of crunchy broccoli topped with chilli. She had linguini of Devon crab and Samphire with a side of baby spinach, avocado and sweetcorn. Desert was Eton mess for her and port soaked blue chasel cheese for me. I'm a cheese fan and it was the best I've ever tasted. Came in at £80

£80 is not too excessive for a meal Sean. If it was nice and the drinks are included in that I would consider it more than reasonable.

For £80 Jeff could have bought the entire 'Pies-U-Like' franchise for Yorkshire.

I am the Shade.
If you are watching this, then it means my soul is finally at rest.
Driven underground, I must speak to the world from deep within the earth, exiled to this gloomy cavern where the blood-red waters collect in lagoon that reflects no stars.
But this is my paradise .. the perfect womb for my fragile child.
Inferno.

For the purposes of this, black is a colour. And so is white, should anyone get that one.

Re: The Culture Cup Round 6 - new but not really improved
Is it green as it can be made by the other colours but the rest are primary?
Re: The Culture Cup Round 6 - new but not really improved
Is it white because all the other colours are worth points in snooker?

None of the above.
It is white because all the others are colours of the rings on the Olympic flag whilst white is the background and not one of the rings of the Olympic flag.

Ham & Applewood cheese sandwich, which strangely has a faint taste of banana, can't think why.

Some little tomatoes

I had a beef salad sandwich, perfectly passable, but got this months Boxing Monthly today so the reading matter increased my enjoyment of what could have been a fairly humdrum lunch.

Re: The Culture Cup Round 6 - new but not really improved
Had a chicken tikka sandwich that my colleague raves about so I caved in and asked him to get me one.
Basically chicken and curry powder thrown into mayonnaise and hastily/inexpertly stuffed into chewy baguette with those white bits of iceburg lettuce no-one eats thrown on top as a salad garnish all washed down with an inspid cuppa that he also made me (thinks it's cos I came in this morning and was a tad critical of some work he'd done on a file of mine) Should be in the "Grinds my gears" thread - People who do something for you, f**k it up then seem to think they're beyond criticism because it was a favour.

Visited Waitrose but no sign of the fit trolley collector. There was however a reasonable array of skirt to ogle over inside the store.
Chicken, Tomatoe and Pesto stonebaked baguette
10 cocktail sausages
Bag of Hula Hoop (Ready Salted)
San Pellegrion Sparkling Water
Most agreeable particularly when accompanied by the tones of Aggers and Sir Geoffrey on the car stereo.
