Not really. The pool bloke starts in a couple of weeks.
There are some pools around here but I have been too busy. I've had a few swims at Mum's place but that's about it.
It's the first time ever I haven't gone to a beach during summer - with only 5 days to go. Might go early Saturday morning.
I just have a shower or hose myself down, as much as is needed, during the day.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that since the concept of immigration became something of an afterthought there appear to be more and more economic migrants driving old vehicles that can best be described as "f*cking death traps"

Saw one a couple of days ago that looked to be held together with prayers...no wing mirrors, no rear view mirror and I believe SIX people inside.

shah, I woke up all of a sudden. Nearly 3am and still 24 degs. Watching some history stuff and some news.

That python's back-facing teeth sure made a mess of that poor kid's head. Serves him right for taking the top bunk.

This is now the height of the crawling season... snakes, arthropods and the like. I don't get too many flies (3-4 per day) but this place smells like a campsite with two mosquito coils located in strategic locations - one near the front door the other on the wall of my inter-war period laundry to be.
I had one so loud last night I could hear it from the next room. I thought my dentist had come to visit... or I was suffering from tinnitus.

Sounds like Kashmir in monsoon season. God, how unpleasant it is. I remember one summer where my very reasonable cousin lost his f*cking nut due to the heat/humidity and and walked around with my punjabi-english dictionary (about the size of Rowley's gut) smashing every mosquito that entered the room and muttering to himself while searching the walls for evidence of an insect. . The problem is pakistani houses are villa type so are unbelievably open to the elements/insect invasions. Spent most of that season blowing weed smoke at the army ants and watching them try to raid the sugar store.
