First topic message reminder :

Unfortunately, I have a match this morning so I won't be watching live.....but please leave your comments here....

For now I'll remind everybody what Djokovic thinks about it.

There is no secret it is going to be physical again,” Djokovic said. “I will do my best to recover. I have a day and a half. I will try to get as much sleep and recovery program underway and hope for the best. I think that's going to be crucial, you know, for me to recover and to be able to perform my best, because Rafa is fit. He's been playing well. He had an extra day. He definitely wants to win this title.”

Women's Final ? A typical 50-odd min one-sided snoozefest.
Men's Final ? A near 6 hour, brutal, 5-set classic.
Of course the women deserve the same prize money as the men.

Phew! C'mon Djoko - serve it out.
Before the match I wanted Rafa to win, but i think Djoko deserves it, so hope he serves it out.
Djoko's return of serve has been fantastic - the big difference between the two players, possibly.

Well played final between two champions.

I may hate Rafa's style of play, but I respect him as a champion.

Novak's reaction to winning by taking his shirt off is actually apt.

This was a testosterone-filled match.

I think there should be oxygen at the side of the court, because you can pass out if you don't warm down immediately after such an exertion.

Rafaeal deserves the kudos what a great champion and what a great winner. Djoko has shown that he has come full circle. Us Djoko fans didn't have to talk about MTOs, time wasting, alleged doping, and so on. If Rafa won tonight he would have deserved it. there are 3 winners tonight one is the game of tennis, and the other two are the competitors.

Time taken between points
Random sample of 15 points each player

Nadal
Shortest 24, Longest 38, Average 32
Broke the rule on every point

Djokovic
Shortest 19, Longest 50, Average 32
Broke the rule on every point but 1

I do think Nadal is the worst offender - I think the reason it came out as 32 average for both is because I sampled 3 Djokovic's points when he was serving for the match and taking more time (42,42,50) which skewed the odds

Djokovic has a better game than Rafael - at least one that will beat Rafaels game. I think it was mainly Rafa's will power plus him starting to flatten his shots that brought him closer. However, I think Rafa will continue to make those adjustments.
