I've worked from home about 5 times in last 15 years. I can't really work from home in my job. And neither of those incidents were down to illness.

I'm just not a fanny like you southerners.

Morning all, laptop has died (sniffle). Have given it the kiss of like, namely trying a complete reset but I fear the OS is fried. I did make a copy of the OS onto an external hard drive when first purchased but when I've tried re-installing it from there it basically tells me to f*ck off and I'm not tech savvy enough to figure it out or understand any of the mumbo jumbo people write on forums explaining in "simple terms" how to fix the problem.
Wife insists it's due to viruses picked up when surfing for "art" but as I've pointed out (to no f*cking avail whatsoever) whilst she's correct it will be a virus, it will have come from one of the other sites where I obtain the numerous films, tc series and music that she is more than happy to watch/request without a thought for the consequences.

Oh for the heady days when you bought a laptop and they gave you the installation disc in a f*cking box for such emergencies.

She was more bothered about saving the 50-60k photos she's amassed over the years (and never looks at again) but they're already backed up so she doesn't give a sh!t as long as I pay to get the problem sorted.

Still in my warm holiday afterglow, whilst work is still intolerable I can content myself with the knowledge it was only less than a fortnight ago I was at the Kennedy Space Centre where I touched a piece of the moon. I also got the opportunity to ask one of the resident experts a few questions. Whilst he did not specifically say so I think he was impressed by both my enthusiasm and interest in the whole area of space exploration.

Very good.  I read your contributions avidly, your writing certainly made me feel that I was in the US, gripping stuff.  You should write a piece for the Villa programme about touching the moon, I'm sure it would brighten up the arse-end of an otherwise bleak season.  I shall tell the angry Kiwi about your exploits, I'm sure that he will be quite livid.

Galtova's dad works for NASA as a translator, he has met an impressive amount of astronauts and cosmonauts. I would drop a few names but my memory is sh1t.

There was one there on the day we were there, signing books and stuff. I was going to queue up and get an autograph, but firstly I'd never heard of him and secondly it was $9.99. I am interested in it but I'm not Rockefeller.

I was really tempted to ask about the head of their moon program Wernher Von Braun's Nazi war criminal past, but bottled it and just asked about the plan to go to Mars.

You should have asked if it's true that the moon landings were faked and seen what sort of rumpus it caused.
